Bluesun Hotels & Resorts are situated on the most beautiful Croatian beaches and
that makes them perfect place for vacation. Bluesun hotel in Croatian county Zagorje
has welcomed its first guests as well in autumn 2009, in a small beautiful town and
also the biggest Croatian sanctuary, Marija Bistrica.
Bluesun Hotels & Resorts are representing the best of Croatian hospitality, with
carefully decorated interiors, high-quality service, and amazing cuisine.
Each Bluesun hotel is unique and represents Croatia, either if it’s about mountain,
coast or continental landscape. Bluesun guests will have reliable and verified service
and quality in every hotel that will satisfy even the most demanding guests.
About Bluesun Resort Bonaca
Bluesun Resort Bonaca has a rich offer and wide diversity of animation (kids, day and night programme) that makes it the perfect hotel for family vacations with kids. It is a complex of little pavilion buildings in the middle of Mediterranean green colors with which guests can fully experience the feeling of privacy and intimacy. Kids pool, playgrounds and nature surroundings, protected by traffic and noise, are ideal for kids games while parents are relaxing on sunbeds or enjoying the cocktails. The complex is 150m distant from the sea.

Business results
Bluesun hotel Bonaca works seasonally, last year it has been open from April 1st,
2017 till October 12th, 2017. In a the year 2018 its been opened from March 24th.
In 2017 we have achieved 87.813 overnight stays
In 2017 61,47% of overnight stays were French guests, which are followed by German guests with 11,24% of overnight stays and at the end guests from Great Britain with 4,32%.

Tui France is currently our biggest partner with more than 60% overnight stays
achieved in 2017. As you can see in the graph below, the big part of overnight stays is
made by the other agencies from Tui group (Tui Uk, Jetair). Cooperation with Tui
France is continued in 2018 as well.

Our employees
Bluesun hotel Bonaca works as a part of Hotels Zlatni rat PLC. At the moment hotel Bonaca has a contract of indefinite duration with 36 employees, while in the season it is hiring additional 60 employees that have a fixed-term contract. We are completely holding on to:
- All applicable laws and regulations in terms of working and human rights;
- Respecting all our employees and their rights;
- Treating all employees as equal;
- Working on training and professional development of all our employees;
- Allowing our employees to be a part of a syndicate.
With all stated above:
- To all our seasonal employees with the place of residence out of Bol we are giving accommodation and meals;
- We are offering to sign a contract for an indefinite duration of work for all employees that are interested in that
- We are hiring people with a permanent fixed-term contract
- We are working permanently on education od our employees

Bluesun academy – more than training center
Bluesun academy is much more than training center. Bluesun academy is the school of improving service and professionality after which motivation of employees and satisfaction of guest is showing us how successful it was. The key is in permanent education considering that only well-educated staff is able to accept new challenges and cooperate in creating new ideas.
Main activities of Bluesun academy are specialized courses of foreign languages (adjusted to employees in tourism), development of professional hotel skills and management skills as well. The main task is permanent development and improvement of skills of all our employees, the permanent ones, and the seasonal ones. That way we are developing and improving quality of service and making sure that satisfaction of our guests is growing continuously which is our most important goal and our vision.
To make sure there is a constant growth in individual working performance of our employees and also satisfaction with the job they are doing, Bluesun academy is enabling them to study continuously through the courses listed below:

Growth and improvement of primarily young employees have significant importance in activities
of Bluesun academy. There are 2 programs especially assigned to them:
Internal training
Mentor system
The common feature of all these programs is that our permanent and experienced employees,
which are at the same time coaches and mentors, work with our young employees and help
them in their professional and personal growth.
Internal training is a teamwork while mentorship is individual work on professional and personal
growth.
Internal education has the significant part and it is following the principle of lifetime
development. That way it is possible to make the efficient transfer of knowledge from
colleagues who achieved something in some area of business to other colleagues.
With the motto “we are learning from the best” mentorship allows young employees to learn
from their experienced colleagues with a lot of knowledge and good will on the beginning of
their career and later to transfer that knowledge on the new generation.
Employees who particularly stand out with the quality of work and their approach to work have
further possibilities of progress through further studying and taking over more complex tasks
and more responsible jobs.

Goals
Reduce water consumption from 0,30 m3 in 2017 to 0,28 m3 per overnight
stay in 2018;
Reduction of electricity consumption of 4% compared to the year 2017 ;
Use of environmentally biodegradable cleansers in 2018 ;
Improved cooperation with the local community ;
Waste reduction of 1% compared to the year 2017.
Water
Reduce water consumption from 0,30 m3 in 2017 to 0,29 m3 per overnight stay in
2018. The planned reduction of water consumption of 4% or 1.060 m3 of water
compared to the year 2017.
Default goals we can achieve in few ways:
- Better irrigation control
- Improvement of planking plan
- Better control and less pool replenishment with fresh water.
Energy
Our goal for 2018 is a reduction of energy
consumption (electricity, LPG, fuel oil) of 4%
comparing to 2017 or of 79.215 kWh.
The default reduction and goals we can achieve in the following ways:
Placing stickers in all rooms;
At the moment in the hotel there are more than 50% of energy saving light
bulbs but this year we intend to change that percentage and to more than
90% ;
By installing additional sensors through the
resort.
Cleansers
The year 2018 we are starting with new ecologically acceptable and biodegradable
cleansers.
Aquagen products are completely ecological hygiene products and products for
disinfection and protection of human health, the health of animals, plants and in
ecological food production.
Quality, stability, and applicability in all areas, without special precautions with
complete safety for employees and consumers.
Local community
Also considering that Hotels Zlatni rat PLC is celebrating 70 years of existence. The
same anniversary will be celebrated in cooperation with local community and
Tourist Board which is celebrating 95 years of existence as well. The special
program is planned and some other happenings
through the following season.
Regarding the 70th-anniversary hotel society Zlatni
rat, group of Bluesun Hotels & Resorts & Resorts&
Resorts has donated 100.000 kunas to Volunteer Fire
Department to buy a new fire truck.
Bluesun Hotels & Resorts is the sponsor of Croatia Bol Open tennis tournament
WTA 12K series, which will be held from 5th till 10th June in Bol.
Sub Eco Bol – Divers which are accommodated in hotel Bonaca for 19 years
already are participating in the cleaning of underwater in Bol area.
Waste
The goal for 2018 is a waste
