MITOSIS FLIP BOOK

Created by Christopher Trotzuk

Interphase

Interphase is the main phase of a cell’s life. The cell grows, copies DNA and gets ready for mitosis. Chromosomes

form and the nucleolus begins to dissolve.

Prophase

Duplicated chromosomes form an X shape and the nucleolus is gone. Spindle fibres begin to form and

nucleus begins to disappear.

Metaphase

The duplicated chromosomes line up across the middle of the cell because of the spindle fibres

pulling them. The nucleus disappeared.

Anaphase

The duplicated chromosomes move apart to opposite ends of the cell also the spindle fibres

shorten.

Telophase Mitosis

The cell will begin to separate and the spindle fibres will soon disappear. While the nucleolus and

nucleus will appear.

Cytokinesis Mitosis

This is the last stage of the cell. The cell will divide because the membrane pinches together. This

cycle repeats.
