The Evaluation pattern for the above courses is explained in slides below:

The marking scheme consists of 4 sections shown below:

Section 1 : Learning

Viewing the Interactive eLearning Content: 25 marks

Section 2 : Differential Skills Attainment

Solving 5 Interim Performance Tests: 25 marks

Section 3 :Integral Skills Attainment

Solving Online Practical Tests : 25 marks

Section 4 :Mini-Projects (to be evaluated by the Learning Facilitator and sampled and moderated by YCMOU Moderators):

5 SUPW Outputs to be Published : 25 marks

(Mini-projects can be uploaded only upto the last day of the course.)

Separate passing in each of the 4 sections is essential for the award of Certificate.

Minimum marks for passing in each section: 10 (40%)

Learners cannot reappear for section 1 and 2.

In case of failure in sections 1 and/or 2, Learner has to seek fresh admission to the course again.

Learners can reappear for section 3 at the ALC

Learner can republish the mini-projects in ePortfolio under section 4 within 30 days of the date of declaration of the result, if they have failed in either or both of these sections.

Prerequisites for WAVE Certificate Courses

For Learners from July 2011 batch onwards, certification will be provided jointly by MKCL- YCMOU.

For starting the Learning of July 2011 batch, ERA 4 (SU 7) System Update 7 have to be Installed through ERA Assistant Utility or the update can be downloaded from

http://elearning.mkcl.org/support/MSCIT/updates.htm

Also all the Course contents provided through 2 WAVE DVDs earlier needs to be installed

After installation of update 7, Center must download the Course content for which they have taken admission

1. Open the Data Traveler Utility

1. Open the Data Traveler Utility

2. From the Download link select Download Learning eContent

3. Enter the Center Code and Click ok

3. Following screen will appear

4. Select the course which you want to

download and then click Import button

5. Click on ‘No’ button, after which Content will

get downloaded on Local server

6. After downloading the content is finished, a message indicating the same will appear

After downloading all the required courses through Data Traveler Utility, the assignments and exams(IPTs) for that course has to be downloaded

Click on Download link and then on Download Assessments link in the Data Traveler Utility

Check the required course one at a time for which Assignments have to be downloaded.

Click on the import button to download the assignments.

In the same way, exams (IPTs) can be downloaded from the Download Assessments link

Under Download option click on Download Assessment link

Enter the SOLAR password and click on the OK button

Select the course for which Assignments have

to be downloaded and then click on the Import

button

After the Assignments have been downloaded, a message confirming the same will be displayed

For downloading the IPTs, select the Course

and then click on Import button

After the IPTs have been downloaded, a message confirming the same will

be displayed

After downloading all the required courses and assessments through Data Traveler Utility, Learners can be downloaded from LF login

For Downloading the learners, use the link “Download Fresh Learners “ available in LF login

After the Learners have been successfully downloaded, Learner username and password will be available in Learner Login report in LF.

Using those Learner login report, Learners can start their Learning through ERA

Open the ERA 4 Learning Facilitator login by clicking on the

icon from your desktop

Click on the Download Fresh Learner Data link in LF login

Select year 2011, then select the month July and finally the date from 1st to

30th/31st

Finally click on Download button

Enter Center Password and Click on the OK button

A confirmation message of Learner downloading will appear

You can confirm the same by visiting Student Login Report in LF Login

Open the ERA 4 Learner by clicking on the icon from your

desktop

Kindly make a note that the Practical Exams and the

Assignments will be made available to Learners over three month period for the initial July 2011 batch. (Center will be able to download Practical exams and Assignments from Data Traveler)

In case any center formats the server machine and doesn’t have back up of ERA 4, center can then download the IPT marks which the center must have uploaded through LF login earlier.

Kindly note that after downloading the learners(ERA is reinstalled), their Learning Progression marks will not be downloaded on Local server and the Learner must have to start fresh for scoring marks on Learning Progression (% Course completion)
