these definitions To gain understanding of common human rights violations in relation to mental healthand how these can be linked to specific human rights standards
Disaster Risk Management: SCORP with SCOPH
Our Federation has been involved in several activities regarding Emergency RiskManagementand Humanitarian Response. Initiated by policy statements, the Permanent SmallWorkingGroup on Disaster Risk Management emerged and got deeper involved in this topic.Through this Joint
Session we aim to address this topic at the March Meeting. Goals of this joint sessionare: Increase awareness about DRM Raise interest & mobilize students to work on DRM Inform about IFMSAs involvement in DRM
Human Trafficking: SCORP with SCORA
This is based on the SWG that has been created this term on this topic between our twoSC's. Trafficking in persons is a serious crime and a grave violation of human rights.Every year, thousands of men, women and children fall into the hands of traffickers, in
their own countries and abroad. Almost every country in the world is affected bytrafficking, whether as a country of origin, transit or destination for victims. At the end ofthis session, participants will gain knowledge how they can act as medical students andalso as future healthcare professionals towards this topic, most importantly realizing thatthey play a crucial role in breaking the chain of silence.

about global health. Over the years many NMOs have held successful campaigns toincrease global health education in their region. This session will provide thebackground and skills to allow you to consider how this could fit in your own university.
Human Resources for Health: SCORP with SCOME and SCOPH
- Current trends (Quantity+Quility+Migration+Retention) on HRH (WHO+WFME+WMOEMRO+WMA)- Update of the last meetings- Policy Statement on HRH- Policy for the future
Intercultural Learning: SCORP with SCOPE
Intercultural conflicts occur usually between two or more opposing groups. IFMSAstudents going for a professional exchange can easily become a part of this conflict. Weare becoming more and more involved in conflict due to the differences that existsbetween our environment and ourselves. Most intercultural conflicts are the result ofintolerance and ignorance of these differences. Generally, in human development, conflict can be a productive factor as individualstry to identify and define their own space for development. On the other hand it has alsoproven in most circumstances to be destructive and unproductive, especially where oneparty dominates and where no coherent and/or non-violent dialogue exists. These joint
sessions will broaden participants horizons on cultural differences and introduce tothem ways how not to avoid an intercultural conflict.
