Modal verbs

The modal verbs in English are : will, would, shall, should, can, could, may,

might, must, ought to

All modal verbs form negative sentences with “not”

All modal verbs form interrogative sentences with inversion

Modal verbs are not used in continuous tenses

canning, mighting, maying, musting, woulding, oughting, shoulding, shalling are not correct expressions because modal verbs don’t get ‘-ing’ form
