Data from Pre-Diabetes Preventative Study in direct partnership with InterMED (physician owned medical
facility) and Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare. Pilot results are indicative of 54 patients that have currently
completed 6 months of program. Fifty addi tional patients have been enrolled through physician self-
funding as of September 2013 and will be completing program in March 2014.
• Average reduction in body weight: 5.8 lbs
• Maximum weight lost: 102 lbs
• Average reduction in waist circumference: 2.3 inches• Average changes in Systolic Blood Pressure: 33.8 mmHg

Medical Group and the M.O.G. evaluating 150 insured individuals categorized as High Cost/High Risk
(HCHR) as defined by multiple chronic co-morbidities.

tness score, and FEV1 (p < .05).

participant as compared to actual costs from the previous year.• 70% decrease in cost for inpatient care and 20% decrease for

care was less than $30,000
