• They stay put in the winter and then move around during the summer.

•They are the only culture that still uses horses as their main source of transportation.

Nomadic lifestyle •They raise many animals including goats, sheep, cattle, camels and, horses.

•They move from area to area following good grazing lands.

• Men work with the animals, make saddles,weapons and hunt.

• woman work by milking cows,making clothing and taking care of the kids.

•Mongolia has a Nomadic based culture.

•They are very welcoming to their guests, even if they are strangers

•They have permanent housing in the winter

•during the summer they house in houses called Ger’s and move around

•The Ger is a portable house they carry around to house a whole family during the summer

• the Ger is wood lashed together and tied with leather thongs that are covered with felt and canvas.
