Community members control and are responsible for their learning using;

Moderated Forums Wikis to create a product together Choice for quick group opinions Database for sharing Self checks Lesson Reflection using questionnaire Common Glossary

First, be clear on the focus of the community

Then nurture for growth

Be there! Check in to the course/community 3-4 times on weekdays – a couple of times on weekends

Ask for help from your students/members/clients

When participants are actively engaged, retention rates are high!

It is working when:

Members ask questions & get answers

Members feel valued and their input is important

Absences are noticed

And above all, keep your sense of humour!
