We have a new part time custodian. Her name is Amanpreet Dhaliwal. Welcome to Mountain Elementary Mrs. Dhaliwal!

You may have noticed that we have new garden boxes in our front entrance and by Hand In Hand. We are excited to teach students how to grow fresh vegetables over the next two months. Thank you PAC for helping us fund this exciting initiative.

Times have changed! Flying paper airplanes in class is no longer considered bad behaviour… when it’s part of a cross-grade STEM challenge. Kindergarten and Grade 4 students designed and tested a number of paper airplane prototypes in the hallways on Thursday afternoon.

Reading Growth Awards Recently we had an assembly to celebrate the reading growth of our students. The criteria to get an award was that you grew 5 PM levels if you were a primary student and 1 grade level (STAR Reading Test) if you were an intermediate student. Students received a certificate and are invited to a pizza party on Wednesday, April 11, 2018. Congratulations, students!
