Who is ?

Born in 1982, same year nike introduced the Air Force One model and Michael Jackson released „Thriller”.

Huge fan of Tarantino’s movies. In school I was introduced to hip-hop music, afterwards I became familiar with its origins deriving from jazz and funk music’s father James Brown.

Graduated with honours from the graphic design department at Bilkent University in Ankara. I then worked in editorial, advertising and as a freelance designer. My focuses are branding, advertising and illustration.

I’m simply trying to mix images and type, but always add a special ingredient. I would like to be Michael Bierut and Stefan Sagmeister, but in one person. I go by the name Mr. Brown. I’m trying to make a name for myself. My name is Artur Augustyniak – music lover, journalist, graphic designer, art director.

Great designer – one of the best, whom our agency had the occasion to collaborate with. Exceptionally creative. Without hesitation seeks for non-standard solutions and his own paths. Doesn’t create borders to his imagination. Always works on his own progress. Doesn’t only care that his works are aesthetic and eye-catching – always encloses an intelligent „twist” or hidden meaning. Has an ability to create „pictures worth a thousand words”.

When I joined DDB Warsaw in the summer of 2003 Artur was already an intern in a large and largely unmotivated creative department.

enjoy his summer, and return to his studies without me, as his creative director, being any the wiser.

That he chose not to quickly marked Artur out as motivated and responsible. And I soon discovered that he was also a natural and gifted designer. And already possessed of a design aesthetic well beyond his years and his peers.

He worked hard and he worked well. And he quickly became

unusual ability in anyone but a remarkable one in an intern. So much so, in fact, that I suggested that rather than return to college he should come and work for me. An offer that he, wisely, I think, declined.

Although I have not had the opportunity to work with him since, I have followed the progress of Artur’s work and career since with interest and admiration. In my view he certainly knows that ‘the good is the enemy of the great’ but more than that, I think, he knows what good design is for and why the great always works harder than the good.

I would recommend him to any employer without hesitation.
