Forward mounted controlsOperator controls are adjustable inheight, angle and plane, allowingperfect ergonomic operation in bothseated and standing positions. Eachtruck function can be controlled withoutre-positioning the hands. Proportionalcontrol affords total control of themachine and turret head at all timesallowing simultaneous multiple truckmovements.
Seat sided controlsSeat side controls (optional) give theoperator the ideal driving position withultimate comfort, specifically designedfor extended shift periods requiring ahigh through rate of pallet movements.
Drivers cabinThe cabin is equipped with a soft, non-slip rubber floor mat providing extraoperator comfort. A large operatorpresence foot sensor mounted underthe mat allows freedom of movementwithout confinement to a singleposition. The luxury driver’s seat isheight adjustable with an ergonomicallydesigned high backrest, thick padding,20 degrees of rotation with springloaded return to centre plus 3 differentlocking positions. The operator cancomfortably turn while traveling in thereverse direction. The fold up seat ispadded on the underside allowing it toby used as a backrest while operatingin the the standing position.
VisibilityThe front lean bar with integratedscreen allows full and un-obscuredvisibility of the forks, pallet and rackingat all times, reducing the risk of productdamage and allowing the operator toremain in a comfortable drivingposition.
SteeringElectronic steering utilizes direct driveto the steer wheel through a gear,employing an automotive style wheelwith integral steering knob or optionalreturn to center steering.
Auto centering with system check andcalibration on ‘power up’ eliminatesoperator error when starting off.
Turret headDesigned for pallet handling in threedifferent directions, configurations areavailable for various pallet dimensions.
Top and bottom mounting of the turrethead gives excellent load stability at alltimes and at all lift heights. An integralpantograph hidden in the fork carriageallows the truck to operate in thesmallest of aisles with maximum sideoperating clearances. Various differentlift heights enable truck configurationsto suit a customers’ specificapplication. The truck featuresautomatic synchro-nous fork rotationwith operator graphical feedback onthe user interface display.
MastsDuplex or triplex masts in both a tri-form or quad-form provide excellentmast rigidity and stability, using a seriesof torsion tubes. The triplex mast isperfect for low door clearances oroverhead obstruction which require alow closed height. The MTC15MWB andMTC15LWB utilize the Yale patentedfour point quad-form mast whichprovides exceptional rigidity at thehighest of heights for operator comfort,stability and minimum aislerequirments. Rectangular steel crossmembers give torsional rigidity andminimise deflection enabling a reachheight exceeding 16,000mm
AC technologyThree phase AC technology isemployed on all traction and steeringhydraulic motors. All four motors aresealed to prevent dust or dirt ingress toimprove long term reliability andperformance.
BrakesRegenerative braking provides highefficiency and maintance free brakingwithout wear to any of the components.An electric magnetic braking systemsecures the truck when stationary.
HydraulicsThe truck is equipped with proportionalvalve technology providing smoothcontrol and movement of turret headfunctions. Two powerful hydraulic liftmotors provide independent power, orthey can be linked to allow ultimatecontrol whilst operating any of thetruck’s functions simultaneously.
CAN-Bus communication systemAll sensors, controls, hydraulicactuators and motor controls arenetworked together to share
information and communicate with oneanother. Elimination of multiple wiringimproves reliability, performing an arrayof truck functions for safe, controllableand rapid operation of the machine.Cabin height, turret head position andtruck movement are continuouslymonitored so each function canoperate at its optimum level. Operatorpin numbers can give differentperformance settings to suit driverabilities and prevent unauthorizedaccess. Service functions giveengineers a comprehensive informationand diagnostics, from current draws onmotors to a history log of faults.
GuidanceTrucks are equipped with externalguide wheels and an automatic aisledetection for rail guided applications.For Wire Guided applications, the truckquickly locks onto the wire whenentering an aisle, if the guidancesystem isn’t switched on, tractionautomatically reduces. If the truck isswitched off while on the system, itautomatically switches back onto theguidance system on re-start.
