Melisa Bonetti was described in Opera Today as “…a warm, supple mezzo…(and) a

wonderful presence…” Since earning her Master’s at CCM, she has sung with Kentucky

Opera, Nashville Opera, Opera Columbus, Des Moines Metro Opera, and performed

in concert with the Lexington Philharmonic, the Queens Symphony Orchestra, and

the Dayton Philharmonic a wide repertory ranging from Bizet’s Carmen and Mozart’s

Zerlina to Britten's Spring Symphony, Mahler's Symphony No. 2, Beethoven’s Missa

Solemnis, Mozart’s Requiem and Coronation Mass, and Leonard Bernstein's Jeremiah

Allan Palacios Chan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from George Mason

University, a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Cincinnati

College-Conservatory of Music, where he is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Musical

Arts in Vocal Performance. Allan has been a Corbett Foundation Young Artist with

Cincinnati Opera for four consecutive seasons, and was recently a Voice Fellow at the

Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, California. Seen and Heard Internationally

singled out Allan for “bringing musicality plus an attractive and flexible leggiero sound

Rafael de Acha began his 60-year career in the arts as a child actor in his native Cuba.

In 1960 he came to the United States, where he studied at the Juilliard School of

Music, Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music, and the New England Conservatory

of Music. After training as a singer, Rafael pursued a career as a stage director and

theatre producer, which led to his founding with his wife, Kimberly the award-winning

New Theatre in Coral Gables, FL., home of the 2002 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. Visit him

Eben Wagenstroom made his professional debut while still in his teens with the Cape

Town Philharmonic Orchestra of South Africa in an acclaimed performance of the

Concerto in G minor by Saint-Saëns. After earning every possible award, competition

and scholarship in his native South Africa, and becoming proficient as both pianist and

organist Eben came to Cincinnati to continue his studies at CCM, where he obtained his

MMus degree, and is now pursuing his DMA degree, studying under Dror Biran.

William Willits performs as a solo guitarist, and collaborates with singers and

instrumentalists, playing the theorbo and the lute spanning the genres of Renaissance,

classical, romantic, Spanish, Latin, and contemporary popular music. Bill plays in several

early music groups, and also maintains an active private teaching studio. He is a yearly

faculty member at the CCM Summer Guitar Workshop, and directs several summer
