The Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) of the IQAC
All NAAC accredited institutions will submit an annual self-reviewed progress report to NAAC,
through its IQAC. The report is to detail the tangible results achieved in key areas, specifically

process has been completed this year & implemented new syllabi from the previous academic

Inviting experts to deliver lectures on the topics important for students and faculties,

Examination Reforms the institution has initiated can be categorised in the following two
parts
Last year SU changed exam pattern so we duly adopted the change in our exam
pattern like instead of objective mode move to descriptive mode using CCTV
surveillance in internal and external examination.
Reforms in Internal Examination
a) Online Multiple - choice question paper for B.B.A., B.C.A., P.G.D.C.A.,
M.Sc. (IT) students and
b) Marks are uploaded online in advance and their copies are also released
on notice board
c) Students can ask for recheck and reassessment openly by submitted a
simple application to the principal.
d) BA, BCom students are now given descriptive type questions instead of
objective type for internal exam as university has changed the exam
pattern.
Reformations in University Examination
a) Examination halls are under CCTV surveillance, directly linked to the
university officials. (Vice-chancellor appreciated personally, way in which
our college conducted the examination)
b) Junior and Senior supervisions examinations duties have been given to the
faculties only.
c) Students are warmly welcomed by the principal through central sound
system for motivation at the commencing of every exam.

d) Physically challenged students are given facilities to seat separately and
comfortably in the basement (instead of a particular allotted seat number)

2.12 How does IQAC Contribute/Monitor/Evaluate the Teaching & Learning processes:
AV Room has been started. Many online lectures of experts from all over India
through skype and other technical aspects have been initiated and organized.
Weekly testes and assignment – tasks are made compulsory.
Organization of workshops and seminar (SDP and FDP) for students and faculties on
new topics and technology.
Strictly following academic calendar.
Made compulsory the internal examination and 30% weightage in Annual
examination.

Criterion – III
3. Research, Consultancy and Extension
3.1 Initiatives of the IQAC in Sensitizing/Promoting Research Climate in the institution
IQAC established specially a committee entitled as ''Research Development Committee''.
The doctorates (PhDs) and senior faculties are the members of the committee.
Every year, IQAC calls a meeting of faculties to plan out for preparing proposals for
minor and major research projects. (Up to now five minor and two major research
projects have been sanctioned by UGC and completed successfully.
Mission of the IQAC is to avail all faculties with Ph.D. degree. (few faculties are now in
queue)
16 faculties are with Ph.D degree. While two (2) are pursuing Ph.D.
IQAC promotes the faculty to attend, & present research papers in conference and
seminar. The institution provides facilities to such faculties.
Six (6) faculties have been recognised as PhD guides (supervisor). They have enrolled 32
students while last year four (4) students have been awarded PhD under them.
E-resources and huge library resources are at disposal of the research scholar freely and
in most convenient way.

The Managing Trustee has three folds set up for continuous update.
1) At the foremost, the core committee (Team) of managing trustee, Principal,
co-ordinator of self-finance courses and co-ordinator of IQAC regularly meet every
Friday.
2) They decide the tasks and fine responsibility to the particular person and discuss
with the person / committee how much time and resources he/they require(s)?
3) Every forth Saturday, The principal organizes a meeting with staff members.

6.3 Quality improvement strategies adopted by the institution for each of the following:
6.3.1 Curriculum Development
The college is affiliated to Saurashtra University Thus, for curriculum development the
college has to follow the university curriculum frame. However the college has
contributed fully for Curriculum Development at the university level also.
All the heads of various subjects are the members of Board of studies (BOS). All of them
are also the member of Curriculum Development Committee.

6.3.4 Research and Development
All Faculties have participated in IT workshop and 13 Faculties attended FDP, 3
participating in Symposium while a faculty has rendered the service as two resource
person and also delivered also Radio Talk on Aakashvani station.3 Faculties attended
HRD Programmes while , 7 faculties are benefited by University Training.
'”Vachan Shibir’ has been celebrated. 100 students and 7 faculties participated.

6.3.5 Library, ICT and physical infrastructure / instrumentation
The exhibition of new books was organised and it is visited by all students and faculties
along with management and many outsiders.

A green Loan is planted in the 500 Sq meter of the ground.
E-Library has been providing free excess to N-List, ICT and wi-fi, to the students,
faculties and to the other stakeholders.

All the vacant posts have been filled up by the management.
New faculties and administrative staff have also been trained.
Most of the management employees have been serving in the institution for a long time.
Few have left due to getting government job or married. It indicates healthy management
policy of the institution.

As per the guidance of Saurashtra University, State Government and UGC
Qualitative parameters are always focused for the selection procedure.
6.3.8 Industry Interaction / Collaboration
Jetpur is a city of dying and printing industry B.Com and B.B.A. Students and faculties
have been linked up in reciprocal way. While for ICT updates, industry of Jetpur and
surrounding is also in the interaction. Banks, Insurance and other financial organizations
have frequently consulted reciprocally.
A various NGOS are also actively involved in the various cultural and social activities of
the institution. We have already processed MoUs with these organizations before some
years.

We conduct an Environment & General Knowledge Test in collaborating with NGOs
