Prepare To Enroll For Classes
• Step 1: Review your Registration Information on MySlice. Note your initial access date and time. Resolve any holds.

Pre-Advising WorksheetBefore you meet with your advisor, please review your Undergraduate Course Catalog, Liberal Arts Core and Human Ecology Survival Guide. You might also want to check in with your peer advisor and classmates to get ideas of classes you want to take. Be sure to schedule a meeting with your advisor early during the advisement period and come prepared with this sheet. List your top 3 class choices for the following categories:

To search for classes to add to your schedule, select class search
A better way to add classes to your schedule is to enter the 5-digit class number for each class you wish to take.
This is Step 1 of 3. After you have entered the 5-digit number for your class, enrollment preferences may be chosen here.
Progress is indicated by numbered boxes at the top of each page.
Class status indication:= Open = Closed = Waitlist
To add yourself to a waitlist click the check box.
Enter a general permission number if one has been issued.
Units are adjusted by using the drop down menu.
Click Next to Continue.
Shopping Cart:A “holding” space for classes to be kept until ready to enroll.
Use the trash can icon to delete a class from your Shopping Cart.
To continue, clickProceed to Step 2 of 3.
At the end of Step 1, your class is placed in your Shopping Cart. From this point you may either continue to add more classes to your cart, or you can continue to step 2 of 3.
In Step 2 of 3 you have the opportunity to confirm your enrollment choice (es).
The indicates the class is openSelect Finish Enrolling to continue
In Step 3 of 3, you may view the results of your enrollment transaction
If you receive an error, read the message to determine how to resolve.
Dropping Courses
To begin dropping classes from your schedule, click the check box next to the class (es) that you wish to drop.

After you have selected the class (es) you whish to drop.____________
The enrollment status indication:= Enrolled = Dropped = Waitlisted________________Click the Drop Selected Classes button to continue.
In Step 2 of 3 you have the opportunity to confirm the class (es) that you wish to drop.
The Indicates which class you have chosen to drop.
Select Finish Dropping to continue.

= Error
In step 3 of 3 you may view your results.
If you receive an error, read the message carefully to best determine how to resolve.
Swapping Courses
To begin swapping classes from your classes schedule, use the ‘Select from your Schedule’ drop down menu.
In Step 1 of 3 you will select the classes you will exchange.
After you select your swap ‘from’ class, the ‘change to’ class may be found using either:
►Class Search
►MyPlanner
►Shopping Cart
►Entering the class number directly
Choose your enrollment preferences on this page.
At the end of step 1 be sure to check:►Section►Day/time
If the class has a wait list you may select that option here.
Click next to continue.
You Will Not be automatically enrolled from a waitlist.
You must contact the department to complete enrollment.
In Step 2 of 3 you have the opportunity to confirm your enrollment choice.
For the class you are replacing check the status symbols:
= Open = Closed = Waitlisted
For the new class you will enroll into, check the status symbols:
= Enrolled = Dropped = Waitlisted
Click Finish Swapping to continue.
In step 3 of 3, you may view the results of your enrollment transaction.
If an error is received, read the reason carefully to determine how best to resolve.

Student Expectations for Advising and Registration
• Initiate advising appointments at least once per semester• Prepare for, and keep advising appointments• Learn the basic requirements for individual degree
programs. Follow through with recommendations and referrals made by advisors
• Seek out other contacts, information, and resources if needed
• Take responsibility for making sound decisions based on the best information and advice available and ultimately, on your own judgment.
• Take steps necessary to allow for timely registration

• Advising Appointments start Oct. 18th –check with your advisor for available times
