2. Services
Being a multidisciplinary firm, we provide the complete spectrum of Architectural/Engineering,
Project Management, Value Engineering and Construction Supervision. We have a proven
track record in delivering demanding projects within Pakistan and in the Middle East. Our
project management, design and site supervision services include all aspects of from
inception including site condition surveys, site selection, planning with environmental
requirements, detailed design and final handing over and close out including witnessing,
certifying testing and commissioning.
2.1 Design and Construction Management
NDA has to its credit the Design and Construction Management of some of the tallest
buildings and the deepest basements in Pakistan as listed inTable 3.1:1.Our engineers have
considerable experience of managing the construction of multi-sourced Fast-Track Projects
as well. We have helped our clients, the German firm Metro Cash and Carry, to set up a
state-of-the-art wholesale center on 12.5 acres of land in Islamabad at a cost of Rs. 2 Billion
in a tight time line of eight months. The contract comprised of 29 packages with international
contractors working round the clock. We provided Design and Construction Management
services for Metros wholesale outlets at Lahore Airport and Safari Park Karachi as well.
2.2 Design Review
NDA has been awarded several projects for Design Review of Structures such as the Sialkot-
Lahore Motorway designed by NESPAK.We are approved Structural Design Review
Consultants with CDA, and have vetted the Structural Design of several high-rise buildings in
Islamabad designed by NESPAK.
2.3 Value Engineering
We also offer Value Engineering Services which help our Clients get maximum value for their
investments. We have carried out Value Engineeringstudies on a number of building projects
in Pakistan enabling Clients to make substantial savings in cost. On Mabarak Center, Lahore
we carried out Value Engineering services for the Foundation Piling Package, which enabled
the client to make a saving of one billion rupees.
2.4 Project Management
We are well experienced in the Project Management of high-rise buildings and have
Designed, Supervised and Managed the construction of several state-of-the-art high-rise
buildings in Pakistan and abroad.NDA provides the complete spectrum of Project

2.5 Road and Bridge Design
NDA also has to its credit the Design of several Roads and Bridges in hilly areas such as
Muzaffarabd, Bagh and Rawalakot, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir as listed inTable 3.2:1 and
Table 3.2:2 respectively.
2.6 Deep Basement Construction Technology
NDA pioneered the deep basement construction technology in Lahore during the PACE
Towers Project where vertical excavation to a depth of 60 feet was achieved through a hybrid
scheme of 600 mm Bored Cast in situ piles and multiple rows of pre-stressed ground anchors.
The same system has been successfully used on land mark projects such as Mabarak
Center, Lahore and Centaurus Islamabad. A list of high-rise building projects with deep
basements is included inTable 3.1:1.
2.7 Special Structures and Rehabilitation
We have developed expertise in Structural Rehabilitation and Strengthening of Buildings.
State of the art techniques like structural strengthening with carbon fibre wrapping, foundation
rehabilitation with micro piles etc. are being used on projects in Saudi Arabia in association
with a specialist contracting firm Bullivant Arabia, Riyadh.

2.8 Specialist Seismic Design
NDA also provides Specialist Seismic Design and Rehabilitation services. In association with
Flores Lund Consultants, San Diego California, NDA has designed two eighteen storied
apartment buildings in California conforming to UBC Seismic Zone 4. NDA engineers are well
versed in Structural Dynamics and have presented several papers on Seismic Analysis and
Design in International Seminars.
