1st Week Follow-up
a) Ask how the client made the observations.
b) Correct mistakes accordingly.
c) Determine the accuracy of recordings.
d) Ask the husband’s feelings on the wife’s learning method.
e) Encourage the client to continue her observations and recordings.
f) Schedule the 2nd follow -up
g) Continue abstinence.
2nd Week Follow-up
a) Check if the proper way of observing
and recording has been done.
b) Check if the corrections from the
previous week has been done.
c) Identification of dry days occurrence
after menstruation.

3rd Week Follow-up

4th Week Follow-up
a) Checking if there’s any sexual intercourse.
b) Progress of charting
c) Review the patient’s chart.
d) Identification of post-ovulatory period.
e) Explain the possibility of sexual intercourse during the post- ovulatory period.
f) Schedule the next visit two (2) weeks after menstruation.
g) Register as NEW ACCEPTOR ( Learning User)
HUSBAND’S EDUCATION
SESSION
Scope:
a) Utilization of his partner’s chart in
understanding the:
- joint fertility
- fertile & infertile phases
b) Explain the anatomy of selfhood.
c) Some gains and pains in learning the
NFP.
5th & 6th Follow-up
a) Identification of pre- ovulatory phase.
b) Identification of the peak day.
c) Identification of ovulatory phase.
d) The Early Day Rule ( EDR).
- EDR- alternate evenings of lovemaking on dry days following menstruation.
e) Explain why it is “ alternate” why on evening only. (EDR).
f) Ask the client to state or how they identified the ff:

g) Invite the husband on HES.
6th & 7th Follow-up
Identify:
1. The phases.
2. Timing of lovemaking based on the chart.
3. EDR on average & long cycle.

the post ovulatory period determined by

Three-day post peak ( on the 4th day, lovemaking is available anytime, day and night).
