INTRODUCTION TO SALAAM BAALAK TRUST

• Salaam Baalak was established in the year 1989.

• It was inspired by the movie SALAAM BOMBAY which depicted the original scenario of the street children in Mumbai.

• Provides a holistic safety net of services to cater to the individual needs of street children.

STREET FACTS

• A street child is a child for whom the street is his home.

• More than 400,000 street children in India exist.

DAY CARE CENTER

A)day care centre project, at the centers you have plenty of time to learn about the children’s talents and teach them their educational subjects,art.

B) Volunteers can cook, wash, feed the children’s and do any assistant/activities at the orphanage as they wish.

Nursery Schools:

• Volunteers can work in Nursery school and teach the kids of under age, English speaking and writing, children’s songs, sports, drawing and many other activities, in working days
