Client: Nikita- womenʼs clothing
Whatʼs the job? Women board sports is still an up and coming market. We wanted to target this early with an eye
catching and in your face campaign to establish Nikita as the go to brand for female riders.
Whoʼs the audience?
The target audience is a 16-28 year-old female who are looking for stylish womenʼs skate and snowboard clothes.
“Monica is a 19 year-old self proclaimed tomboy at heart, but girly on the outside. She has always played with the boys. Competing for the best waves and the biggest air. She pushes the limits when
it comes to her board sports, but also likes to push the limits with her clothing. She loves bright colors and interesting designs. She wants to bring the runway to her outwear when sheʼs skating
and snowboarding.
Monica desperately needs a clothing and sportswear company that does just that. Can function with her extreme sport hobby, but also flashy and hip. She needs clothes that will catch all the guys eyes
when sheʼs catching the biggest air.”
Whatʼs the goal? Establish the brand as an equal competitor, but more fashionable compared to other womenʼs skate
and snowboard clothing lines.
Single most important thought: Forget about the boys… board like a girl. Clothes for girls, made by girls that ride.
Why should they believe the message? Nikita is an Icelandic clothing brand, founded by its head designer Heida Birgisdottir and friends in a
tiny skate, street wear store in Reykjavik, Iceland 10 years ago. Heida and her friends had a hard time finding stylish and feminine skate and snowboard clothes that were functional… So Nikita was born. Still today the brand has not lost its authentic rider style with Heida still as the main designer.
The clothing is made by girls, for girls who ride.

For my friends and I boarding became
not just a hobby but a lifestyle.
So my friends
and I came
together to form
Nikita. We needed boards and

skate/streetwear store in Reykjavik.
