NSTP 2 Community Exposure
As part of our NSTP 2 Class, we,
the 1st year students of Business
Administration participated in a
community exposure at Mother RitaHomes located at Lugam, Malolos City,
Bulacan last February 5, 2011. The said
activity is conducted by our professors
and is designed to encourage us to take
part or contribute in improving our
community and to draw insights and
learnings from the residents of the
Mother Rita Homes that we can share
and discuss to our classmates for the
rest of our NSTP 2 Class.
On the first part of the activity, our professor discussed to us what we will going to do
during the entire community exposure. He briefed us about the Mother Rita Homes, where it
begun, where is it¶s location, what are the facilities they have inside and the common livelihood
of the residents in the said community. Our professor also instructed us that we will going to
interview some of the residents there for us to know more about the community. He gave us
three questions that are to be asked to the interviewees. These questions are as follows:
1.) What are the assets of the community?
-This question asks about the things that the Mother Rita Homes has than can be called as
assets. These things can be qualities that the people in the said community posses or it can
also be valuable things, resources or properties inside the community that are very helpful in
maintaining the progress in that place.
2.) What are your dreams/desires for the community?
-Dreams and desires of the people in the said community should also be heard in order for the
community itself to be more organize. It can also be a way for the officers of the community to
have an opportunity to know the needs of the people living inside the place.
3.) What are the issues/concerns of the community?
-We all know that there is no perfect community to live on earth. We should admit that every
community has its own problems, issues or concerns. This question asks about the problems
and issues inside the community that the people there think that these things are not really good
in helping the Mother Rita Homes to be more improved.

Interviewee: Leony Faustino (Phase 2)
-She¶s staying there for almost 13 years and she noticed that they
are curfews and checkpoint in each places and they are not
comfortable with that thing as well as to earn money. She is striving
hard to give proper healthy living with the help of her husband who
is working as a construction worker and they have 5 siblings. She
said that her dream/desire for the community is to improve and to
develop well the community like giving a better education for the
children, and to build a clinic to help them satisfy their needs when
it comes to medicine and to give proper jobs to earn money easier.
Interviewee: Aloie Mellin (Phase 2)
-She¶s staying here for almost 12 years and she noticed that their

and they are located on Phase 4 and 2. He noticed that somepeople are stealing their properties and their personal things. So he
