Allow me to say thanks to Josh and Michelle fororganizing our pancake breakfast. I also want tosay thanks to those who volunteered during the

I want to encourage any who plan to join us thisWednesday for our Chili supper to sign the backof their silent roll call card and drop it in theoffering plate as it is passed.
I am very excited about our annual Thanksgivingbanquet which is scheduled for November 24 th. Allthe fun will begin at 5:00 pm. This year we will beblessed in music by Dave Mason. Dave serves withthe Heath Church of Christ and I can guaranteeyou he will tickle your funny bone with his music.Begin planning now who you will invite to thisspecial evening of thanks.
I want to ask each of you to begin praying for ourcurrent and future leaders here at FACC. Men arepraying right now as to whether or not to serve.May you be used by God to encourage others inthis endeavor because it is a high calling to servethe Lord. Read through Titus 1 and look at thequalifications of a spiritual leader before you castyour vote.

Last week in Children's Church, welearned about honoring others bykeeping our promises. When you keepyour promise to someone, it shows
them that they have worth. God alwayskeeps His promises to us. So we shoulddo the same for others.
This month we have been learningabout honoring others. Praise your
children when they show examples ofhonoring others this week. Encouragethem to do things that bring honor toothers or Honor the Lord. Lead byexample.
We are still taking Halloween candydonations! Thank you so much toeveryone who has already donated! I

Core Values...
Values central to the life, mission andvision of Fifth Avenue Church of Christ are:
Christ-Centered WorshipWe make it a priority every Sunday to celebrate Jesus through ourmusic. (Romans 11:36-12:1-2). We focus on Jesus through grace-
based preaching and teaching & understand the Bible is ourauthority (2 Timothy 3:16).
Church Health and Biblical Balance
Church health becomes reality when God's people seek harmony &live consistently. We expect every member to protect the unityof Christ's Church. (Romans 12:16; 1 Peter 3:8)
Global EvangelismWe are constant to our founding call to worldwide evangelism,
proclaiming to all that Jesus Christ is the Savior, Healer, and Soon-Coming King (Acts 20:27).
Fellowship and MinistryAfter people begin their journey with Jesus, we will equip them tofind a ministry based upon their strengths. We want everyone to
serve in some capacity. (1 Corinthians 12:12-27) We also want Hischurch to be the living evidence of His love and power to the world.
DiscipleshipWe do not want you to "get religion" here at Fifth Avenue Church ofChrist in Lancaster. We are all about teaching you that Jesus seeks
a daily relationship with Him through a life of obedience. In otherwords, we want to see the things you are taught actually change

Secretly Do Good Deedsby Melody Carlson is a Mommy and Me bookthat teaches the character of Christ by applying His teachings to theirworld. This delightful book in the Just Like Jesus Said series is
whimsically and lovingly illustrated, presenting children with typicalsituations they may face every day, but teaches how they shouldconduct themselves by showing what Jesus would have said or done.
The Bridge of Peace is an adult fiction novel by New York Times Best-Selling Author Cindy Woodsmall. Lena Kauffman is a young Old OrderAmish schoolteacher who has dealt all her life with attention raised by anoticeable birthmark on her cheek. Having learned to move past thestares and whispers, Lena channels her zest for living into her love ofteaching.
