Mersin has got young population. Most of the citizens were born in Mersin. There are also migrants in the city. Especially from the east part of Turkey, people migrate to Mersin because of its opportunities of work and the weather.

And our beautiful sea all along the city. Wherever you go, you can see and enjoy it. You can swim from May to October in Mersin. Most of the days are sunny.

Mersin is a large city and it has got an international port. It is important not only for Mersin’s economy but also Turkey’s economy.

Turkey’s second tallest skyscraper is also in Mersin.

University of Mersin It is a big University and there are lots of faculties and 15.000 students. It was founded in 1992.

We can say that Mersin is the capital city of citrus because of that every year there is an international citrus festival.

CEZERYE: A Turkish delight made from carrot.

KEREBİÇ: A semolina pudding, especially made in the month of Ramadan
