OGT Administration

• One test per day• Reading, Mathematics, Writing,

Science, Social Studies• Up to 2½ hours per test

Reminder of Change in Law

• “Proficiency Only” must take OGT in tests not yet passed rather than ALL OGT tests

• No more ninth grade proficiency

Alternate Pathway

• Option for Class of 2007+• Provided by Senate Bill 1 • ORC Section 3313.615 • Alternative to pass all five OGTs• Students must meet ALL criteria

Alternate Pathway to Graduation

Class of 2007 and beyond: • Complete all curriculum requirements• Pass four of five tests• Score within 10 points of standard Then:• Maintain 97% attendance, no expulsion• Achieve 2.5 GPA in courses of test not passed• Participate in intervention• Obtain letters recommending graduation from

principal and teachers

What to Know About Form 1

Required only for accommodations• Used only in the spring• Used when administering a special

version• Used with a CD version• Used for group “read-aloud”• Overages will need to be approved by

ODE

• Spring Form 1’s • Monitor use• Foreign-language versions• Special population presentation (B-2)

• Do not take Form 1 from classroom sets to use for special versions

Appeals

• Thirty days to process an appeal.• This year EMIS reporting deadline is

July 17.• Those who wait until the end of 30-day

appeal window may not receive results back in time for EMIS processing.
