But the old pay-envelope still contained 30 bucks, no more .

Weeks passed . Ken still zipped out his s m a r t copy, bu t tha t was all the good it did h im. E v e r y week hfe opened his pay envelope with a n e a g e r n e s s tha t m a d e his disap-po in tmen t double-edged.
