The bridge of Kolyu Ficheto near Byala

The bridge is located above the Yantra River. It is one km. from Byala. It was built by Kolyo Ficheto by order of Midhat Pasha. It has begun in 1865 and has completed in 1867.

It is 276 meters long and 9 meters wide. Its 14 vaults are decorated with embossed animal images. It is usually used only for pedestrians and tourists. South of it is A new modern bridge built south of the bridge of Kolyu Fivheto.

Midhat Pasha awarded the Medjidie Order Master, gave him 50,000 groshes and a great place in Tarnovo.

The clock tower

The tower is a monument of culture from the Renaissance. It has completed in 1972 and it is 9.10 meters tall. On the southern wall there is a carved inscription: "With the rustic labor, this pillar is a soldier to call the devout to God, June 19, 1872.“

In 1906 Former Finance Minister Lazar Piayakov gave the clock mechanism, a Swiss production worth 25,000 golden leva.

Museum of the Russian - Turkish War of Liberation

The museum was opened in 1907 by Stoyan Zaimov.

The house of Mehmed Bey, used to be his harem, was used during the war for the headquarters of the Russian Emperor.

The graves of Baroness Julia Vrevskaya and the nurse Maria

Neelova are in his garden.

The church was erected in 1915. It was painted in 1923, and in the following 1924 it was consecrated.

Monument of Julia Vrevskaya

In the center of Byala near the clock tower there was a tomb of Yulia Vrevskaja from 05.02.1878, who has worked as a nurse in Byala during the Russian-Turkish war. Today, there is a barref of the baroness in 1965 made of monolithic white stone by the sculptor Djoko Radivojevic.

After the museum was settled, the graves of the two nurses Vretskaya and Neelova were moved to the park of this building in 1907. It is a monument, wrapped in green ivy.

Monument of Panayot Volov

Stoyan Zaimov, Angel Krushkov and Nikola Obretenov met in Byala in August 1901 and they became acquainted with the circumstances in which the apostles Panayot Volov, Georgi Ikonomov and the rebel Stoyan Angelov find their deaths in Yantra. They have decided to build a monument in honor of the heroes next to their place on the right coast of the river.

In 1960 there there was a raised obelisk with the image of Panayot Volov, the work of the sculptor Yanko Pavlov. Under the apostle's note it is written: Panayot Volov – 1876.

Monument of Nikolay Pirogov

It was erected in memory of the Russian surgeon who visited Byala in November 1877. The task was to inspect the time-consuming hospitals housed in the village during the military action. The monument was completed in 1977.

A monument to the Russian officers and soldiers killed in Byala

On the left coast of Yantra there is a monument built by the Russian government in honor to the Russian officers killed in the battle in Gorsko Ablanovo and Katselovo on the 5th of September 1877.
