The June Meeting and Shop Tour are being combined for the High and Middle School’s Woodworking AwardsPresentation at the Contra Costa Fairgrounds. Alan Coyle and his Committee have worked hard to put this eveningspresentation together. Members get free entry for the evening Awards Presentation with the on-line Entry Form. ABig Thanks to Karen Howe and the Contra Costa Fair Staff for making this year’s Woodworking Competition aSuccess.

Our July speaker will be Max Hunter owner of Western Dovetail which is located in the old “Jointers Shop" at MareIsland which has a long history of woodworking. Much of the original milling equipment is still in use and Max hasinvited us to visit his shop the Saturday following his presentation for a shop tour. JULY 24 SHOP TOUR, LLOYD’S CUSTOM WOODWORK,1012 SHARY CIRCLE, CONCORD
Back by popular demand is a 2nd
Shop Tour at Lloyd’s Custom Woodwork in Concord. Saturday, July 24th from 9:00a.m. to 12:00 a.m. Those that missed this great creating woodshop tour a couple of months ago should put this highon your priority list. Lloyd’s shop has some CNC tools and other wood handling tools that you don’t see very often.The shop is currently working on a very large project at Lake Tahoe with all the parts made in the Concord shop,carefully wrapped and trucked to Tahoe for installation. Logs from China, Old Elm, are brought into the Concordshop and processed into the Tahoe project. Really Amazing work! Don’t miss this tour!

AUGUST 11TH; 14TH ANNUAL SUMMER SOCIAL, 6-9 PM
We need you to get your checks for $10 per person to Jeff Traeger so we can complete the planningfor the Summer BBQ in Pleasant Hill. The BBQ will again be at the Pleasant Hill Park, Gregory andCleveland Streets. 6 pm to 9 pm, August 11th.
This year we are back to the Potluck BBQ. Gordon Fry has cooks signed up to BBQ the burgers. Allthe fixen’s will be set out. We need each of you to bring a Salad, Side Dish or Dessert, enough for 6people. Wine, sodas, and water will be provided. If you like you may bring your own beer.

2010 TOY PROJECT, - We thank Glenn Madsen for stepping up for the big job of running the Toy Project for2010. Glenn has had some very productive workshops already on Friday afternoons in Room 208 at the AdultSchool. Glenn has plans available for many toys that members have made at home in the past. MEMORIAL FLAG CASE PROJECT
These cases will be given out free to any local Fire or Policefamily member that is lost in the line of duty. Plans for thesecases are on our club web site. Gordon Fry, 925-685-1676 isthe Chairperson for this project.
Flag Cases were given to several local police and firefighting families in the last couple of years. It is our honorto help in memories of these men who lost their lives intheir community’s service.
