Auctions enable buyers to solicit bids for goods and services that are clearly defined, such as office

furniture or memory chips. Buyers can discover new suppliers or buyers and get competitive pricing or

improved service. Buyers can tailor each auction to control who can see bids during the auction,

whether multiple rounds of bidding are possible, and whether partial bids are allowed. Many different

items can be included in an auction.

- Login to Application

- Open Sourcing Super User Responsibility

- Create Auction

- Enable EMD (Earned Money Deposite)

Note: If EMD Enabled in negotiations, you should assign EMD Administrator and approval required to

Collaboration team.

- Enter EMD Amount and EMD Type

- Enter Scoring Options

- Add Sections and Requirements

- Enter Requirements weight

- Item and Attributes:

Note: Staggered Closing makes time intervals between items while closing the auction.

- Add suppliers

- Submit Auction for Approval

- EMD Administrator Approves:

- Go to Sourcing EMD Administration Responsibility and submit EMD Transaction for

Supplier(007IBM CORPORATION):

- Back to Sourcing Super User

- Create a Surrogate Bid (Supplier = 007IBM CORPORATION)

- Set Bid Price 500,000 $

- Set Proxy minimum= 400,000 $ and Proxy Bid Decrement= 5000 $

- Create Bid for another Supplier: AMZ_Corporation

Note: Make sure that EMD Transaction is done before Surrogate Bid creation.

- Resubmit Bid again:

- Now, View Surrogate Bids

- Analyze by Bid

- Now AMZ_Corporation will Enter Power bid= 10%

- Click Recalculate

- Bid Price for AMZ_Corporation will be updated to 405,000 $

- Automatically Proxy Bid will be generated for supplier 007IBM CORPORATION decrementing Bid

price by 5000 USD till it reaches the minimum bid price= 400,000 USD

- Now close the Auction

- Enter Bid Scores

- Finally Award Supplier

- Submit Purchase Order Creation
