We carefully select our staff for your function based on experience, skill and
a genuine desire to serve people. We see serving our clients as a privilege.
STAFF RATESThe number of chefs, wait and bar staff will depend on the size of your function and your menu selection. Menu prices do not include staff. Staff for your function will be invoiced at the following hourly rates:
• Waiting and bar staff: $45 per hour Monday–Friday, $49 per hour Saturday, $55 per hour Sunday
• Chefs: $55 per hour Mon–Fri, $60 per hour Sat, $68 per hour Sunday
• Supervisors: $50 per hour Mon–Fri, $55 per hour Sat, $60 per hour Sunday
(Please note: The hospitality industry standard of a minimum 4-hour shift applies.)

choosing the right menu
Every function is unique, and the food you choose to serve is an expression
of your individual tastes. It is important to choose the right menu, one that
will complement the atmosphere you envisage for your event. We have
menus to suit a range of function styles, from relaxed and casual to formal.
RELAXED CASUAL STYLEIf your preference is for a relaxed, informal event, we recommend our Casual Cocktail, Signature Cocktail and Fork Food menus. Each menu comprises a generous selection of hot and cold finger food and fork food options from which you may customise your own menu. A cocktail-style menu is perfect if you desire your guests to relax, mingle and enjoy each other’s company whilst being served a variety of delicious foods.
SEMI-FORMALIf you desire a more classically styled function, but with a casual feel, we recommend our three course menu packages. This menu style comprises cocktail food for your guests on arrival followed by a gourmet buffet main course, finishing with desserts, percolated coffee and a selection of teas. This option encourages a warm social atmosphere as guests mingle over cocktail food, then provides the luxury of choice through a gourmet buffet main course served by our professional staff. With a buffet main course, your guests can take as much food as they like and return to the buffet should they desire. For a semi-formal style, we recommend our Wood Fire Spit Roast or Barbeque menu.
FORMAL If your vision is for the ultimate in service and presentation with all food individually plated and served to you and your guests at their tables, we recommend our Formal Lunch and Dinner Menu, which includes canapés, an entrée, a main course and dessert. A formal style enables you to enjoy first-class hospitality without having to lift a finger. Our professional staff will cater to your every request.

meats on site at your location on specially designed log fire barbecues
using Australian hardwoods. This method of cooking is both healthy and full

CONFIRMING YOUR BOOKING Once you have decided that you would like Icon Event Catering to cater for your function please fill in the booking form attached at the end of this portfolio along with a deposit of 25% of your catering quote. This will confirm your booking.
SELECTING YOUR MENUMenu selections are required at least 2 weeks prior to your function. Changes after this require head chef approval. This does not apply if you have booked your function at short notice.
PAYMENT AND FINAL NUMBERS100% of the balance to be paid 1 week prior to your function date. Payment can be made by cash, bank cheque, credit card, EFT, or personal cheque. By law Icon Event Catering must conclude the service of alcohol by 12 midnight.

LEFTOVER FOOD POLICY Any leftover food at an Icon Event Catering function remains the property of Icon Event Catering. Due to food safety laws Icon Event Catering does not make provision for the reuse of leftover food.
SERVICE STAFFStaff hours at functions are estimated in accordance with your catering and function requirements. Should staff be required to work beyond the estimated times the additional hours will be invoiced after your event with payment due immediately. By employing our services you are also employing our staff and you agree not to arrange or source your own staff. In our experience, using our professional staff contributes to the smooth and successful running of your function.
ADDITIONAL MEALSMeals for entertainers and photographers are charged at $30 each and include a main course only.
DAMAGE, BREAKAGE OR LOSS OF PROPERTYYou are responsible for the safekeeping of personal belongings, merchandise and gifts. Icon Event Catering will not accept any responsibility for the loss of or damage to any such property, before, during or after the function. If required, you should arrange your own personal insurance. Damage, breakage or loss of any equipment supplied by Icon Event Catering is the responsibility of the client and any associated costs will be payable by the client upon receipt of an invoice.
INDEMNITYIcon Event Catering uses the freshest and best available food and ingredients and, according to current food safety legislation, prepares food under the most hygienic conditions. However, no liability is accepted for any latent defect in any product used by us or any loss however arising there from.
PRICE VARIATIONAll prices quoted are subject to variation depending on seasonal availability and market price. Notice will be given in writing of changes. Please expect an annual increase to occur 1st January each year.
