Key Features | Assumptions
slide 9
User-definable Assumption tables specify the context of Assumptions
– Columns specify the parameters carried
Each row in an Assumption table constitutes an Assumption that is identified by its name
– Parameter values will be assigned to the calculation when applying a specific Assumption by its name
Conditional Assumptions allow selective assignment of parameter values
– e.g. for specific aircraft types, runway conditions, airports, …
Assumptions are used to easily and transparently assign standardized conditions in the scope of calculations with the Study Module. They can be used to handle any kind of context, from atmospheric conditions to payload scenarios.

Key Features | Study Module
slide 10
The Study Module allows launching large sets of calculations for comparative analysis of
– Competing aircraft
– Alternative layouts or payload scenarios
– Route networks and atmospheric conditions
– …. and many other
The user can specify a multitude of variations, e.g.
– Aircraft, routes, economic models, …
– Parameter value ranges or Assumptions
The Study Module allows simple definition of comprehensive calculation batches that can be executed both locally or on the Mission Suite Analysis server for parallel processing. Results can be post-processed by the MS Excel-based reporting module.
ABOVE THE CLOUD(S)
Key Features | Study Module
slide 11
Each Study type can be individually configured, e.g. to compute lowest or highest possible takeoffweights
Calculations can be off-loaded to Pacelab Mission Suite Analysis Server for parallel execution
Results can be viewed directly or be processed bythe MS Excel based reporting engine

Key Features | Reporting
slide 12
Scope: generation of reports (tabular & charting)
Referencing project- and Study-parameters:
– Parameters, Unit-parameters, MDTs
– Using display names and groups
Handling of multiple occurrences (e.g. multiple routes, aircraft, segments, …)
One-click generation of reports containing multiple charts and tables
Access to available reports from application’s UI
Pacelab Mission Suite‘s reporting engine dumps data in predefined Excel templates. Dumped data makes use of Excel table features and can be referenced in the final report without detailed knowledge of Pacelab Mission Suite‘s data model.

Key Features | ETOPS Analysis
slide 13
Automatic analysis of routes with respect to ETOPS
– Routes which require ETOPS analysis are flagged
– ETOPS alternate airports are automatically selected for such routes
– Analysis can be performed for single routes or sets of routes selected via folders or multi-selection
Alternate airports are selected by using aircraft categories which indicate the requirements on the alternate airport
Computation of reserves according to ETOPS rules can be turned on or off by the user
Building on legacy Pacelab Mission‘s functionality, Pacelab Mission Suite strongly lowers the level of expertise required to conduct ETOPS analysis. The new calculation feature automatically determines applicability, feasibility and required alternate airports.

Scope Pacelab Mission Suite 6.3
slide 17
Infrastructure AnalysisPost processing and data
End-of-year release Pacelab Mission Suite 6.3 will provide infrastructural improvements as well as refined functionality. Further, a new product option will be released addressing the calculation of aircraft economics.
64-bit architecture
– Removes the application’s current limit of ~3.2 Gbyte memory address space
– Benefits large size projects as well as the processing of large scale Study results
New local Knowledge Server
– Integrated with main application, i.e. no longer a separate process
– Improved execution speed
– Simplified install process
– Basis for new product option “Pacelab Data Management”
Provision of further and enhanced report templates
Provision of sample aircraft database
– Performance data generated with Pacelab APD
– Level of accuracy is in line with calibrated conceptual design models
Initial release of Economics module as new product option
– Will address the calculation of a/c economics, i.e. cash and direct operating cost
– Later releases planned to address fleet economic analysis

Economics Module
slide 18
The Economics Module allows to calculate costs, revenues and profits based on the selected route and aircraft type
The user can include or exclude cost or revenue items from the COC/DOC-breakdown and subsequently control their impact on the total profit
Run economics studies to better understand aircraft positioning and profitability. Use economic analysis to measure the effectiveness of an aircraft on a route or network.

Typical cost items and alternative methods to calculate them are provided, e.g. navigation cost, landing fees, crew cost, cargo revenue or passenger revenue
Cost items as well as analysis methods can be customized to suit specific needs or to comply with company internal methodologies
