Obituary

Odell Foster Berryman Sr., age 80 of Keller’s Oakhaven Rest Home

passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2020.

Odell was born June 25, 1939 to the late Ned Berryman and Lenora

Palmer Berryman. He was the youngest of five siblings. Odell was

born blind and he received his education at The School for the Blind

in Raleigh North Carolina. He later went on to work for the Industry

for the Blind in Greensboro NC for many years. He found great joy in

listening to the WWGP Swap Shop and playing his harmonica.

Odell was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary West Berryman and

Betty Ruth Huff; his brother, Bishop William Lee Berryman; the

mother of his two children, Lucille Cunningham; his son-n-law,

Frank Salguero and a very special niece, Colleen B. Simms.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Brenda Berryman of

Sanford NC; his daughter, Lisa Berryman of Staten Island NY; his son,

Odell Foster Berryman Jr. of Brooklyn NY; his brother, Cornelius

Berryman (Mary) of Olivia NC; ten grandchildren, Tyreese, Antonio,

Michelle, Teya, Odell III, Keyandra, Kiandre, Kyara, Kyana, and

Kymari; four great grandchildren, Franswa, Elianna, Eli and Odell IV

and a host of other relatives and friends.
