Prelude “Choral Prelude” J.S. Bach
*Call to Worship
Praise God, all people who are called to be saints.
Sing a new song in the assembly of the faithful.
We will be glad in God our Maker.
We will rejoice with music and dancing.
God takes pleasure in us and receives our worship.
God lifts up the humble and invites us to share God’s glory.
We will not cease to give thanks in all things.
We look to God for revelation and wisdom.
Listen here for God’s Word of truth.
Share with one another the gospel of salvation.
We are here to seek a better way of life.
We have come to learn and to do what God intends.
*Hymn #751 “For All the Saints”
Call to Confession

Prayer of Confession
Most High God, we confess that we have not aspired to the best
that we know. We have neither set our hope on Christ nor
treated others with the love and respect we crave for ourselves.
We seek to avoid entering into the depths of another’s pain or
risking our wealth out of compassion for all your saints. We
do not want to embrace those we perceive as enemies or do
good to those who hate us. We are afraid to trust the working
of Christ’s power among us. O God, help us to accept the
demands of faith that we may experience its joy. Amen.
Time of Personal Confession

Pastoral Prayer and the Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
Call to Offering
Offertory “Pastorale” Cesar Franck
*Doxology
Praise God, from whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye Heavenly Host;
Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Amen.
*Prayer of Dedication
Chose to serve you, we bring you our tributes. You are the God
who delivers us; glad praises we sing. All that we have are gifts
of your graciousness. You plumb our potential, our yield
increases. We are stewards of your mercy called to serve.
Accept these offerings as signs of our faithfulness throughout
each day. Amen.
Senior Choir Anthem “Let the Saints Get Up and Sing” arr. Joel Raney
*Benediction

All Saints Offering
Today, All Saints Sunday, we celebrate long-ago saints and those known to us
as saints; people who inspired us by grit and determination to “keep on trying.”
Many of those people are the pastors who lives shaped and influenced our own.
Some of the PSEC pastors who retired years ago are now in need of special
assistance. Because their retirement income is low, the churches of the
Pennsylvania Southeast Conference supplement the cost of their health benefits.
We remember these saints as we receive the PSEC special All Saints offering.
Your generosity will bring peace of mind and improved health to those who have
served the church so faithfully in the past. The entirety of the offering is used to
supplement the needs of 7 of the retired pastors, spouses, and widows in the
Pennsylvania Southeast Conference who need assistance with health and dental
insurance. Be a saint to those who have been saints and support this vital
ministry.
Friends of SLHC Meeting
Today at 2:00 pm, The Friends of the Schwenkfelder Library & Heritage Center
invite the community to hear Mike Freed speak on the history of the Valley
Soccer Club in a presentation entitled The World at Our Feet: 40 Years of the
Valley Soccer Club. Following an introduction that touches on soccer's global
popularity and impact, Freed will discuss the formation and early years of the
Valley Soccer Club. He will describe how the Club grew in the 1980s and 1990s
as well as the addition of soccer into Upper Perkiomen High School athletics.
The Club's continuing evolution throughout the 2000s and 2010s will also be
examined. Finally, Freed will explain the "Friendship Through Soccer" Program -
a unique history of travelling to and/or hosting teams from foreign countries.
Mike Freed is a 1978 graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School and has lived in
the Upper Perkiomen Valley his entire life. One of the founders of the Valley
Soccer Club in 1980, Freed served as the Travel Team Coordinator for the club for
the first 17 years, as well as treasurer for more than half that time. He still serves
in an advisory role with the Club. Freed operated Keystone United Overseas
Travel, a sports travel business, from 1994 - 2003. Currently entering his 29th
season of coaching high school soccer; this year is his 11th as the Girls' Varsity
coach. He has been married to his wife Linda for 34 years.

Christmas Stockings
We are starting to make our Christmas stockings for Norristown State Hospital

your generous help last year, we were able to make a total of 100 stockings. We
would like to do the same again this year. You can give your monies to anyone on
the committee. Thank you in advance,
Miriam Hausman, Sandra Kriebel, Sally Wright, Ruth Weaver, and Ethel Soffa
Raise the Roof Capital Campaign
It has come to the attention of the Board of Trustees that the roof on the
Christian Education building is in need of replacement. Contractors have
surveyed the roof and have determined that a new roof will be needed within the
next 2 to 3 years. In order to raise the funds needed for this project, the board
has decided to run a capital campaign entitled “Raise the Roof.” The campaign
will begin immediately and run through December 31, 2021 or until the
determined amount of $100,000 is reached. Please prayerfully consider helping
us protect and maintain our facility by donating to this very important campaign.
A progress chart will be posted in the narthex along with update reports in the
bulletin and newsletter. Thank you for your support,
Board of Trustees

Mission Trip to Puerto Rico
I would like to express my sincerest gratitude and appreciation to everyone who
helped make my mission trip to Puerto Rico possible. We did some very good
work and helped several people who are still recovering from the effects of
Hurricanes Irma and Maria more than 18 months after they hit the island.
It was my honor and privilege to represent not only the Pennsylvania Southeast
Conference, but Palm Schwenkfelder Church as we repaired buildings and
structures damaged by the storms, and helped people reclaim their lives and
communities and recover their identities. At some point in the near future I will
share my experiences on this mission trip with the congregation. Stay tuned for
an announcement about my presentation. And thank you again!! Dan Ferry
Did You Know…?
This is where we list items of interest to members and visitors. If you have any
items to add, please call or email Dan Ferry in the church office. Thank you.

Did You Know…?
CCTV – We broadcast the Sunday worship service on closed circuit
televisions in both the Nursery and the Adult Sunday School Room.
LARGE PRINT bulletins are available from an usher. LARGE PRINT
Bibles are also available for use during worship services, located on the
table to the left between the front and back sections of pews.
Listening devices are available for those who would like them. Please see
an usher to assist you.
A fully accessible restroom is located in the hallway, across from the
office. A baby changing table is there, also.
There are two yellow and green bins at the back of the parking lot for
recycling your office paper and newspaper. The church benefits from
these collections, along with helping the environment.
In case of an emergency, there is an AED (Automated External
Defibrillator) located in the rear of the sanctuary, in the alcove where the
mailboxes are and where the sound system is kept.
