On behalf of the 2016 Foundation (Prep) team we would like to thank the families for attending our
“Foundation Graduation” morning on Tuesday 13th December 2016.
It’s been an absolute pleasure being a part of your children’s first year of primary school and we trust they
have all had a wonderful first year.
Our hot and windy conditions certainly didn’t dampen our spirits as we watched our balloons fly off.
Wishing you all the best for a wonderful Christmas break.

YEARS 4 - 6
SCHOOL AEROBICS
WHAT IS SCHOOLAEROBICS?
Schoolaerobics is the largest inter-school aerobic team and singles competition in Australia. In its 28th
year, the main aim of Schoolaerobics is to provide primary and secondary school students with an
avenue to improve their fitness, confidence, health and self-esteem through participation in a healthy
and fun competition. For more information, please refer to: http://
www.tftsportsandeventmanagement.com/
WHAT IS REQUIRED?
At this stage, we are planning to enter two teams into the Stage 2 category. At the audition we will be
looking for the following traits:
Capability; be able to perform a short routine with precision, intensity and strength
Attitude; will have demonstrated during the tryouts that they have the passion, dedication and
commitment for being part of the team ie listens well and has clearly practiced at home
Presence; able to perform with a smile!
Should your child be selected as part of the team, they will also need to commit to the following:
Attend training sessions during lunch on Fridays (& some Wednesdays) each week.
Be available for the following key dates:
Saturday 13th May – Melbourne heats at the Arena, Geelong
Saturday 3rd
June – Melbourne finals at the Arena, Geelong
Be prepared and available to attend the National Championships (if we qualify) from Friday 4th –
Sunday 6th August at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre, Broadbeach, Gold Coast,
QLD. NB Parents will be consulted on this well in advance should we be successful in qualifying.
Listen, learn, practice, and have fun!
The school has been generous enough to cover the entry fees for the team. Other costs involved will be
costuming (an aerobics style leotard, dance tights and white sneakers) and getting yourself to/from the
competition venue(s). Further details will follow once we firm up costuming requirements.
