To find out how the computer works and what steps it takes to process information lets dive deep down inside it.
First we will start out by learning about input:- Input Is a system where you enter your information
into the computer.- Types of input are your internet, keyboard and mouse. - Input is the first step in the computer has to go
through
The processor is one of the most complex stages:
- This is where Fetch, Decode and Execute sort through the information
- Here the information is then sent to the place its has to go and does what it has to do.
Now lets take a closer look at Fetch, Decode and Execute.
- Fetch retrieves the data and passes it on to Decode.
- Decode has no memory, and decodes binary
- Execute has calculators and places in data in memory ( only reads ones and zeros.)
Memory is a very important part in storing the data.- it has a long term holder and short term holder- These holders storage containers are called RAM
and ROM- Just like in your head a computer has a memory too
We will take a closer look at RAM and ROM:
- RAM is random access memory this is where data is stored temporarily
- ROM is read only memory where information is usually stored for long periods of time
Output is the last stage in the computer process.
- information is now displayed
- Output comes in forms of a printer, on the screen, speakers or some other way that it is shown to the user.
Lets go over what we learned:- The data is first put into INPUT- It is then sorted through in
PROCESSING- After it is stored in MEMORY, RAM
or ROM - Then it is shown to the user in
OUTPUT
What was going on in 1991 through 1993?!?
Well there was some major advances in computers:-ID software is founded 1991-Fifty World Wide Web servers are known to exist 1992-FRISK software is founded 1993- Internet experiences world wide growth- The computer game Myst is released and later is honored for
being one of the most popular
Since there was an internet growth lets take a closer look at the internet:
- Easier ways to find things- You can talk to other people- Faster ways to get information
I hope you enjoyed!! : )
(and learned a little something)
