“Periodic Table Song”
By: Michael and Amanda
A long time ago in 1869.
A man came along named Dmitri Mendeleev.
And created something special…
He took all of the elements from all
around us.
Put them down on paper and just look at what he
found.
Little did he know…
That over 100 years later, we’d call him a
genius.
And everybody uses his helpful little chart.
All over the world.
In chemistry class.
Aint it something?
118 elements and put them all together.
Moving right through 7 rows, and up goes the
atomic number.
There's 18 special groups, all sharing common
properties.
The periodic table, baby just say: chemistry. Oh
There's 9 different ways to classify the
elements.
There all around us.
In everything we see.
Everything we touch.
There’s helium in balloons, and neon in
signs.
We wear gold and silver, pay with copper
all the time.
There’s fluorine in our toothpaste.
And calcium in our bones. They’re everywhere.
118 elements and put them all together.
Moving right through 7 rows, and up goes the
atomic number.
There's 18 special groups, all sharing common
properties.
It’s a chemistry story, baby just say…
The periodic table, tells us all sorts of things.
Atomic mass and number! So we never have to
wonder!
Everything is better when we have it by our side.
