Beautification Day, Saturday April 6th
8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Pine Forest Elementary has applied to become a No Place for Hate® school. The No Place for Hate® initiative is about establishing a school-wide atmosphere which addresses appreciating differences, respect, kindness toward others, and anti-bullying. As a part of our initiative, we would like to create a “Peace Garden” in our second atrium. This beautiful “Peace Garden” will be filled with messages of kindness from each classroom and will be used as a special place for classroom and counseling activities. We invite our faculty, students, and parents to assist in Beautification Day by weeding, mulching, planting flowers, decorating and painting.
Help us make PFE BEAUTIFUL!
Perennial Flowers Lantana, Peonies, Phlox, Hibiscus, Lillies,

Does your child have an interest in learning Spanish? If so, your child might be a candidate for Humble Elementary’s Two-way Dual Language Program, “No Limits.” The program is designed to teach children a second language in a natural way through subject content instruction and every day classroom conversation.
What is the Two-way Dual Language Program? The Two-way Dual Language Program teaches Spanish and English to native and non-native speakers of English in a mixed group setting through literacy and the core content areas. The Dual Language program at Humble Elementary adheres to the 50/50 model which provides 50% of instruction in Spanish and 50% of instruction in English. The goals of the program are to develop students who are bilingual, bicultural and bi-literate. If you are interested in finding out more about the Two-way dual language program, please plan on attending one of the two parent informational meetings that will be held on: Tuesday, March 26, 2013 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in room 1005 at the Jim Eggers Instructional Support Center, 4810 Magnolia Cove Drive, Kingwood, TX 77345 and Thursday, April 11, 2013 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at Humble Elementary, 20252 Fieldtree Drive, Humble, TX77338.
