RETENTION RATE
Comments:
The first few minutes are confusing for the user. The version contained a landscape video while the game is in portrait mode. Graphics are okay but do not impress. The onboarding is basic and there is little sense of achievement. Early gameplay is easy and allows a lengthy first session. Metagame and Depth of content are quite basic. Push notifications are non existent.

RETENTION RATE
Comments:
Progress is very confusing and it quickly becomes unclear what you have to do to earn more soft and hard currency. You can not replay levels and you can not exchange hard currency for soft currency. The variety of gameplay is very limited and the strategic element feels too random.

RETENTION RATE
Comments:
Reaching levels beyond 50 feel completely random and the game looses all sense of achievement. Core game becomes very repetitive and player is unable to unlock further features (level lock). Social elements are not used to increase competition or virality.

DIFFICULTY OF THE GAME
Comments:
The match-3 playing field is responsive, colours and icons are easy to recognise and the help comes in time. The game does not feel well balanced. Strategic usage of buffs works well when there is enough time to make choices. In later levels it becomes impossible.

Comments:
The game mechanic doesn’t feel unique and overall fun factor is only slightly above average. Lack of variety and no sense of progress reduce delightfulness and there are hardly any surprises. Graphical level of detail and characters are basic.

GAME EXPERIENCE
Comments:
Match 3 can push people into a zen-like mode and the game does achieve that. However randomness, lack of variety and no sense of progression are stopping this game from being an amazing experience.

Comments:
The game responds well to the actions of the user. The flow can be optimised by adding a pause function and allowing users to play again without leaving the main play screen.

WORTH SHARING
Comments:
There is currently hardly any incentive to invite a friend which could persuade the 44% to share. Due to the limits in fun and a lack of coolness of the brand the challenge should be the main reason to share (However due to the progression there is no immediate challenge possible).

SUMMARY
Game A is a match-3 adventure game that has a nice twist to it due to the time pressure.
➡ The core match-3 design is good with a responsive and clean mechanic. ➡ The initial game-play is fun.
➡ Onboarding, Brand and overall UI should be more polished➡ Meta-game is poorly executed and from a graphics perspective - so far - not very
polished. ➡ Monetisation mechanics are not well designed (should be tackled once the core
game is perfect)➡ Reason to share and to compete needs to be improved
➡ Balance, levelling and replay-ability need to significantly improve➡ Variety and progress need to be improved to increase long-term retention and fun
