You Choose your Day One

• You can try out the service anytime after June 30, 2002.

• Your current cataloging authorization will work with the new cataloging service

• You choose how to migrate– All at once or individually

Migration Considerations – SaveFile• The Online SaveFile is different

depending on the interface used– Records started using Passport or

CatME must be completed using Passport or CatME

– Records started using the new cataloging service must be completed using the new service

Migration Considerations – Export• The new cataloging service will

support:– TCP/IP Export– Export to a file

• The TCP/IP export is direct to the library system, and may require access through your firewall

• The export record format is the same as with Passport!!!
