• Summary

• This is an endowed scholarship fund sponsored by the International Institute for Learning, Inc. (IIL)

• The Dr. Harold Kerzner Scholarships are four academic scholarship valued at up to US $7,500 each

• Open to all students who are pursuing graduate or undergraduate degrees in Project Management or related fields of study from accredited, degree-granting colleges and universities

• Four scholarships are awarded annually.

Harold Kerzner, PhD, MS (Engineering), MBA is Senior Executive Director with International Institute for Learning, Inc. and Professor of Systems Management at Baldwin-Wallace College. He is an expert in the areas of project management, total quality management, and strategic planning. Dr. Kerzner is author of the best-selling textbooks: Project Management: A Systems Approach to Planning, Scheduling, and Controlling, now in its ninth edition, In Search of Excellence in Project Management, Applied Project Management and Strategic Planning for Project Management Using a Project Management Maturity Model.

Showcasing Eric Jenett Professional Development Scholarship Fund

• Summary

• The PMI Houston Chapter and friends of Eric Jenett sponsored the Eric JenettProfessional Development Scholarship Fund

• Endowment fund, which awards up to US$1,250 annually

• May be awarded in whole or in part to one or more individuals who wish(es) to obtain or maintain project management-related certification, credentials, course credits or substantive knowledge

“Mr. Jenett, one of PMI’s five original founders, was PMI's first Project Management Professional (PMP®). A PMI Fellow, Mr. Jenett was PMI's President in 1971, Chairman in 1972 and Secretary from 1975 to 1976. A founding member of the PMI Houston Chapter, Mr. Jenett was honored by PMI in 1975 for his Distinguished Contribution to the Institute. He presented at numerous PMI Seminars & Symposiums, served on a number of panels, and published a variety of articles in the Project Management Quarterly, later to become the Project Management Journal®, and in a number of other technical publications. PMI EF in the News

• 10 Nov 2016 – “The Space Foundation has received a $192,125 grant from PMIEF for a two-year initiative to help teachers and students prepare for the demands of the future workforce.”

• Initiative “Out of this World Project Management" is an enhancement of Space Foundation education programs

• Will target 375 and 15 teachers in Colorado and Pune, India where nearly 30 educators represent the Space Foundation's international Teacher Liaison program.

• Using the Space Foundation's Mars Robotics Laboratory, located at its Discovery Center in Colorado Springs, and PMIEF's Project Management Toolkit for Teachers (Toolkit), an 8-hour training program will be delivered to Pikes Peak region secondary school STEM teachers, and delivered virtually to the teachers in India.

• The initiative will also fund field trips to the Space Foundation Discovery, where students will learn project management skills while working in teams in the Mars Robotics Laboratory.
