Point Place Business
Association
FROM THE PRESIDENT
Dear Members,
After almost 2 years of writing a monthly letter
to the members, it is getting hard to find
something creative or original to write. I will just
say what is on my mind... as I usually do! 😁
Hope to see you at Meet the Candidates on
October 16. This is also our October PPBA
Dinner Meeting.
The PPBA Nomination Committee is looking
for candidates for 2020. If you would like to run
for an office or the board, please contact
committee co-chairs Tom Stagner or Brenda
Kilburn.
It was voted on at the September membership
meeting to form a new PPBA Foundation that
would combine the Point Place Scholarship
Foundation and The Legacy Community
Foundation. Money for each foundation will be
kept separate. A separate VP will act as
chairman for each committee.
I am not the best one to explain how it will
work. If you want to know more or have
questions, I suggest you plan to attend the
November PPBA Board Meeting, November 6
@ 6 PM at the Friendship Park Community
Center. Any PPBA Member can attend a Board
Meeting and give input.
Only Board Members and Officers can vote.
Any final decisions will be taken to the
membership for a vote at a future meeting.
Suggestions for a name of the new foundation
are being accepted. Bring your suggestions to
the October 16th membership meeting or the
November 6th Board Meeting.
Hope your business is prosperous and your
health and personal life are well...
Enjoy the Beauty of Fall,
Joyce Ejhinger

Visions of Cullen Park
At the last meeting there was a discussion regarding the sidewalk condition on the Summit
St. pathway. The erosion has caused great damage with conduit and wires being exposed.
It was decided to contact proper authorities to investigate problem.
There is a display at the library regarding Visions of Cullen Park and the progress made
since beginning in 2010. I invite you to stop in and take a look. While compiling the
display, it brought a great feeling of pride to see all that was accomplished thanks to many
volunteers, officials, entities and individuals who contributed to its success. Anyone who
wants information on Visions can contact me via email.
Till the next time,
