Poland is located in the centre of Europe, and this factor alone demonstrates the great potential of our country. Poland borders Germany to the west, the Czech Republic and Slovakia to the south and Ukraine, Belarus and a bit of Lithuania to the east. A small, separate fragment of Russia known as Kaliningrad Oblast also borders part of Poland to the north. The rest of the northern border comprises the golden beaches of the Baltic Sea. Poland specializes in production of

instruments and appliances used

in medicine, surgery, dentistry and

veterinary medicine.

It is estimated that the Polish

market of medical devices is

already worth around Euro 2,5

billion and it is still growing.

MEDICAL EQUIPMENT IN POLAND

In 2017 export from Poland reached almost Euro 1,8 billion.

The dynamics of export of medical devices since 2014 is still increasing with + 50% in 2017.

In US dollar terms, export recorded strong double – digit growth in every quarter of 2017.

Almost 64% of export goes to EU, mostly to Germany, Denmark, UK and France.

The biggest importer of Polish medical devices outside of Europe are the USA with purchases in 2017 worth over Euro 265 million.
