Landscape designing STUDIO of the southwest area outside the Summer Palace, Beijing.

The topic of the exercise was the South-to-North Water Transfer Channel and its “TuanCheng Lake Regulation Pond”, the South-to-North Water Transfer Channel garden and modern western suburb tramline. The project is located in the southwest of the Summer Palace in the Three-hill Five-garden area in Beijing northwest suburb. Here we tried to solve the conflict between a new engineering work and the picturesque scenic area, an important tourist focus.

Through an analysis by layers, we tried to find the items that help us connect our design proposal with Beijing’s urban planning and understand what sort of surroundings we had.
