Meals are served three times daily. We customize meals to the client's particular taste, but the vast majority of our clients wish to try some of the game baggedon Safari. Our kitchen staff will be happy to show you their flair at preparing venison, in a variety of tasty traditional dishes.

Toasting the day's hunt around the campfire with a cold beer or one of our world famous South African wines, is the perfect way to enjoy a South Africanevening.

GENERAL INFORMATIONTo help make your trip successful, please note the following information.

Flight ArrangementsWe highly recommend that you use a travel agent who not only specializes in African travel, but also has the knowledge and experience to handle the special arrangements required for hunters.

VIP Meet & GreetIf you are flying into Johannesburg, we suggest you use Afton Safari Lodge to meet you at the airport. Afton makes the entire customs process much easier - specifically when it comes to gun permits. Afton will take care Of all gun permit forms ahead of time, greet you as you exit and then take you through the gun registry. Afton also provides overnight accommodation before you depart to Polokwane the next day.

Trophies Your trophies will be marked, salted and field prepared prior to being sent to Safari taxidermist in Polokwane. Limpopo big game Safaris will prepare all taxidermy documentation and arrangements up to the point where safari taxidermy take over. From there on, Riana will be in contact with you.

Firearms & AmmunitionBring a bolt action or a double rifle, muzzleloaders are also welcome.

For Buffalo, Rhino and Elephant- a minimum calibre of 375 or higher is required. 40 full metal-jacket cartridges as well as 40 soft-point cartridges should be enough.

For Lions, Leopard, Antelopes and other medium game - a calibre of 7mm or 300 will be sufficient. For medium game, you will need at least 80 soft-point cartridges.

Fit your rifle with a good quality scope with variable power: 1.5-6 x 42, 2.2-9 x 42 or anything that works the best for you. For transportation between hunting areas, 1 soft case per gun is required.

Gun FeesThe import of hunting weapons to South is free, please do not pay any money to any person other than a clearing agent such as Afton Safari lodge. The legislation governing international flights demands that rifles and ammunition be transported in lockable cases with ammunition packed separately.

Bow & ArrowA compound bow with a minimum draw weight of 60# is required. Please consult with the outfitter regarding the species you wish to hunt.

In an event of cancellation:• All safaris preparations are done at least eight weeks in advance. (60 Days)• In the event of a cancellation within (8) eight weeks of the safari date the

client will forfeit his deposit.• If the hunt is cancelled between (6) six months and (8) eight weeks of the safari

date his deposit will be held for a safari at a later date or the following season at that following seasons prices.

• If the client cancels the safari more than (6) six months of the safari date he will be fully refunded all deposits.

• In the event Limpopo Big Game Safaris cancels the safari for whatever reason at whatever time the client will be fully refunded, including Dangerous Game deposits
