Wexner

Two Years Ago

First Impressions

Wexner Heritage Foundation

“When I first heard of the program and it was described as a leadership development program, I expected two years worth of classes where 20 of us would sit in a room, learn from experts on how to be great leaders and tackle problems as a group…”

Wexner Heritage Foundation

“This was going to be a hard 2 years to learn with this group.”

“Was worried it would be too much "leadership" training and not enough "inspiration". Turned out to be neither but, through learning, sharing, and reflection, created lasting foundations for both..”

“Les Wexner is very, very interested in my future. ”

Until now

Our Journey

Wexner Heritage Foundation

“After two years I am surprised at how differently I think and feel about Judaism and what it means to be a Jew.”

“I think my Jewish journey has evolved because it brought into focus how much of our current society is unique to history.”

“Once you realize how often we evolve and how it may be the reason the Jewish people are still here today, you’re more open to change.”

“One of the things I am going to miss the most about class is seeing everyone and learning from everyone.  One of the things I am going to miss most about the summer symposiums is spending quality time with my classmates and their spouses, who are wonderful people and leaders in their own right.  It has been an honor to be able to spend time with such incredible people.”

What will we do next

“In all seriousness, I was blown away with the intellect in this group and learned so much from your thoughtful questions and discussions.”

“The Wexner Heritage Program serves as an incredible beginning to both my personal and leadership journey. I look forward to finding my leadership niche within the community.”

“After two years of study in the Wexner Heritage Program, I have learned how to lead in a Jewish way, rather than just lead a Jewish organization. I can’t wait to start my next journey and give back to the Atlanta community. Our group has so many amazing ideas and with us working together, nothing can stop us!”

Wexner Heritage Foundation: Biggest hope for the next few years?

“...that we remain at least somewhat close. ...that I can point to some great work of Jewish progress and say "he / she was in my Wexner class"

“… That we can continue to grow and learn together and take on leadership projects together.”

“… For the Atlanta 10 Class to help build a more connected Jewish community and to increase the ability of our community to think in terms of what is best for the community and not just for individual organizations.”
