VERSION 2009
Advantages of Face Up Orbital Abrasion
crystal free - no inhalation or irritation
vacuum free - no dragging or pulling the skin
blockage free
maintenance free
disposable tips for maximum hygiene
5 grades of abrasion tips
unparalleled abrasion control
Face-up is an innovative and effective microdermoabrasion system that provides combined abrasion and massage.
Face-up uses a (PATENTED) hand-piece that rotates on an elliptical axis which abrades and massages the skin at the same time.
The elliptical rotation of the abrasive head removes all imperfections and impurities at any angle, leaving the skin clear and smooth.
At the same time the micropulsesmassage the skin, stimulating and toning the skin tissue, improving the circulation and making the treatment particularly relaxing for the client.
The interchangeable heads are coated with a biocompatible, anti-allergy (*)
layer of silicon carbide which gently exfoliates the superficial layers of the epidermis.
In order to ensure hygiene, cleanliness and safety, Face-up uses a variety of single-use disposable treatment tips
A specific plastic head allows cream distribution
after abrasion

Face Up treatments can be specifically tailored to the needs of each client
The orbital rotation of the circular head performs a progressive and controlled skin exfoliation.
Skin before Skin after
At the same time the micro pulsations tone the skin tissue.
Face-up can be used to get rid of or reduce skin imperfections such as skin discolouration, age spots, small wrinkles and scars, stimulating at the same time the formation of new collagen;
Results are visible after just one treatment. The complexion is clearer, smoother and the skin firmer.
Visible improvements include:
Rejuvenated skin
Increased skin thickness
Reduction of wrinkles
Peeling
Small, convenient and easy to use.

Treatment tips suppliedwith Face Up system
Connecting the hand-piece
Insert the male connector on the hand-piece into the female socket of the
system
Once connected, twist collar sleeve to lock in place
Insert the chosen peeling tip onto the end of the hand-piece.
Ensure that it is pushed down firmly in place
Switch on the system from the main switch on the rear panel
START/SET button
To enter the set up menu press the START button
Parameter Selection Up/Down Arrow Keys
To SELECT treatment parameters use the Up/Down arrow Keys
Use the up/down arrows to select the appropriate client skin sensitivity:high; medium; low.Confirm selection by pressing the SET
button.
• PARAMETER SET
• Skin Sens. High• Treat.
The system will then automatically show the next treatment parameter to be selected
Use the up/down arrows to select the appropriate treatment intensity: light; medium; intense.
• PARAMETER SET
• Skin Sens. High• Treat. Light
Confirm selection by pressing the SET button
Based on the parameters selected, the system will automatically recommend the grade of abrasion tip to use
• Skin Sens.: High• Treat.: Light• Tip: XXFine• Ready Time: 00:00
The System displays Ready indicating that it is now ready to operate.
The system will begin operating as soon as the operate button on the hand- piece is pressed
NOTE If the SET button is pressed the treatment selection parameters will need to be reselected again.
As soon as the Operatebutton on the hand-piece is pressed: the word READY on the screen changes to OPERATE and the timer starts running (minutes, seconds)
• Skin Sens.: High• Treat.: Light• Tip: XXFine• Operate Time: 01:35
NOTE: The timer runs until the max value of 99 minutes and 59 seconds, then it stops while the unit keeps on operating
The relationship between the possible selections, the selected treatment tips and rotational speeds are expressed in the following table:
N. ofprog.
Sensitivity of the skin Treatment Speed
[rpm] Type of head
1 High Light 2500 XXF
2 High Medium 3500 XF
3 High Intense 4500 F
4 Medium Light 2500 XF
5 Medium Medium 3500 F
6 Medium Intense 4500 M
7 Low Light 2500 F
8 Low Medium 3500 M
9 Low Intense 4500 C
LED
Bars
Based on the speed of rotation set, the led-bar on the control panel will be partially or fully lit, • 2500 rpm, the first 4 LEDS are lit (4 green);• 3500 rpm, also the second 4 LEDS are lit (4 green + 4 yellow);• 4500 rpm, all the 11 LEDS are lit (4 green + 4 yellow + 3 red).
To PAUSE during the treatment simply press the OPERATE button on the hand-piece; by pressing it again the treatment will be resumed from the point where it was suspended

SET button
To STOP the unit press the OPERATE button on the hand-piece, and then press the SET button on the control panel .
TURN OFF the system using the main switch on the rear panel of the unit.
General Face Up Treatment
• Cleanse the skin thoroughly and pat dry. • Perform a “test strip” on the patient’s inner forearm to indicate what it
feels like and observe how reactive the skin is. If necessary reduce intensity or use a less abrasive treatment tip
• Set system and select appropriate abrasion tip• Follow the specific abrasive tip movements indicated in the diagram• Remember that the abrasion depth depends on the grade of abrasion
tip selected, the speed of rotation selected, the speed of movement on the skin and the pressure applied.
• If you stop the hand-piece on a particular point this will produce a deep abrasion.
• After abrasion clean the treated area with a soft brush and then rinse thoroughly with a wet facial sponge.
• Apply the hydro smoothing gel mask • Change the abrasion tip for a massage tip and set system to
appropriate speed of rotation.• Apply massage tip through the mask using light pressure following the
movements indicated in the diagram• Remove mask and apply a suitable moisturiser with SPF.• Inform the client that it is important to refrain from sun exposure and
excessive heat for 2-3 days immediately after treatments and to use a sunblock.
• The client should refrain from collagen injections, waxing, electrolysis or depilatories for at least 7 days.,
PEELING, AGING, FINE WRINKLES
• Select a light treatment (2500 rpm) and a suitable abrasion tip, to exfoliate only the superficial layers of the skin.
• Keep the hand-piece moving on the skin surface, always keeping the abrasive head in contact with the skin.
• Do not pass the hand-piece more than two consecutive times over the same area. Instead treat the whole area and then repeat theoperation, beginning from the same initial point.
• It is advised to carry out the second passage with movements perpendicular with respect to the first one.
• mask and use massage tip
• Depending on the severity of the condition a course of six to ten treatments are recommended. Treatments should be spaced one treatment per week.
• Upon completion of the treatment course clients are advised to maintain results by having a maintenance treatment on a monthly basis.
SCARS, POST-ACNE SCARS, STRETCH MARKS
– Use an intense treatment (4500 rpm) with a coarse treatment tip. It is necessary to remove the epidermis exposing the surface of the papillary dermis (punctual bleeding).
– The tissue immediately surrounding the treatment area should also be abraded.
– The treated area has to be medicated in the conventional way, using an antibiotic covering.
– According to the severity of the lesions, 10-12 treatments are necessary at an average distance of 2 weeks one from the other
– it is important to only perform a treatment after a complete healing of the previous treatment.
SKIN THICKNESS
NOTE Use lower intensity and/or select a less abrasive treatment tip in areas where the skin is thinner
