Program Introduction: Effective communication is a critical skill all leaders and managers need to develop. What is your communication style and how can it influence your effectiveness as a leader? How do you build your credibility and manage difficult conversations through communication? This highly interactive two-day program will help you discover your leadership communication style and learn how to lead more successfully through communication. In addition, you will create and deliver a short presentation to practice and develop your ability to influence and present your ideas in a compelling manner. The skills and strategies you will gain from this program will provide the tools to empower you to enhance your leadership presence and communication effectiveness.

Location: The James B. Henry Center for Executive Development is located at Michigan State University. The overall complex consists of the Henry Center, Candlewood Suites (an extended-stay hotel), the University Club (a private dining and recreational club), a fitness center/ spa, and an on-site 18 hole championship golf course. The Henry Center is a world-class executive education and corporate learning facility specifically designed to complement the learning objectives of this seminar.

• Effective presentations for leaders
• Key design issues for both PowerPoint and Prezi presentations
• Planning an effective presentation, gaining audience buy-in, key delivery goals

12:45 – 4:30 p.m. Crafting and Delivering a Digital Presentation
• Creating and delivering a digital presentation (teams of 2-3)
