Print & Cut procedure Using Cut Studio

Automatic Crop-Mark Detection

Create the Data1. Start Cut Studio2. From the File menu, click Print &

Cut. The print range and crop mark are displayed.

3. From the File menu, click Set up the printer. Configure the printer settings.

Create the Data4. From the File menu, click Print Setup. 5. Refer to the figure below and set the margin and the

distance between crop mark.

Create the Data6. Import the image data. (JPEG or BMP) 7. Position the imported image data in the area within the

crop mark.

8. Draw the cut lines.

Print the Data1. Print the data on the material.

2. The image data with crop marks is printed.3. The cutting lines drawn with CutStudio are not printed.

Load the Printed material

1. Load the printed material as following figure.

Load the Printed material2. Position the crop marks above the blade protector.

Make the setting for alignment method

1. Press the MENU key several times.2. Press the key several times.

3. Press the keyPress the or key to select Sensor Mode.

4. Press the ENTER key to enable the setting.Press the MENU key.

Perform Cutting1. Send cutting data to GX-Pro.

2. When the machine receives the data, crop mark detection is performed automatically by the sensor and cutting starts.

Create the Data 1. Start Illustrator and open a new document.

Set the art board.2. From the Window menu, click CutStudio Plug-in.

Roland CutStudio palette appears.3. Click on the Roland

Cutstudio palette. Cropmarks are inserted in theart board.

Create the Data4. Click , and click Crop-marks…. The Crop-marks dialog

box appears. 5. Refer to the figure below and set the margin and the

distance between crop mark.

Create the Data6. Position the data in the area within the crop marks.

7. Create a new layer for the cutting lines and draw the cutting lines.

Print the Data

1. Hide the layer containing the cutting lines.

2. From the File menu, click Print.

Load the Printed material1. Load the material as the following figure.

Create the Data1. Start CorelDRAW.2. Create the design or open an existing file.3. Refer to the figure below, draw the crop mark using draw

function of CorelDRAW.

Create the Data4. Write down DISTANCE X, Y and OFFSET X,Y on your

scratch paper.

1. Print the design and crop marks on the material.2. Laminate if needed.

Press the or key to select Basic Settings.5. Press the key several times.6. Use the or key to enter Distance X.

Press Enter key to enable the setting.

Make the setting for alignment method

8. Press the Key.Press the Key.Use the or key to enter Offset X.Press Enter key to enable the setting.

9. Press the Key.Press the Key.Use the or key to enter Offset Y.Press Enter key to enable the setting.

Perform Cutting1. Press the Key.

Use the or key to Select 4-Point Start.Press Enter key to enable the setting.

2. Set the Alignment Tool instead of the cutter.Press Enter key .

3. Align tip of the alignment tool with Crop Mark 1 using the cursor key Press the Enter key.

Perform Cutting4. In the same way as Crop Mark 1, perform alignment of

Crop Mark 2 to 4.

5. Remove the alignment tool and set the cutter. Press the Enter key.

6. Click on the toolbar to generate outline and send it to Cut Studio.

7. Edit the cut line if needed.8. Send the cut line to GX-Pro.
