Job descriptionInfineon's International Rectifier, HiRel division has an immediate opportunity for a Production manager with at least 3 years of management experience in a production/manufacturing environment. Application areas include space systems, commercial aviation, medical, oil and gas drilling, undersea telecommunication cable and defense technologies. IR HiRel offers a comprehensive portfolio of power management solutions with highly reliable, robust discretes and ICs, high temperature DC-DC converters, solid state relays and motor controllers.
The Production manager oversees the full manufacturing & test process of radiation hardened DCDC converters used in space and other high reliability applications. In this role you would work closely with supervisors and program managers, engineering and quality departments to plan work, set targets and make sure the finished products are completed on time meeting stringent quality standards. The Production Manager also directs supervisors and factory employees to plan and assign work, implement policies and procedures and recommend improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.
In this role you will:
Direct all work activities of the Production workforce, establishing goals, monitoring results, and taking actions, as necessary
Work closely with other areas such as engineering, supply chain, human resources, and payroll
Be responsible for department staffing and Operator training, in addition to the following areas:
Quality Control
Inventory Control
Scrap Reduction
Workflow Management
Personnel attendance
Supervise and motivate a team of workers
Review worker performance
Identify training needs
Ensure the production is running cost effectively
Plan and schedule required resources
Ensure stringent quality standards are adhered to in our production
Monitor the production processes and adjust schedules as needed
Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed
Production Manager
ProfileYou are best equipped for this job if you have:
BS degree in Engineering or Business Management; MS degree is a plus
5+ years of experience in Production/Manufacturing environment ; thick film and/or hybrid microelectronic manufacturing is a plus
3+ years Management experience
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, team building and communication skills
Fluent in Microsoft Office i.e. PowerPoint, Excel and Word
Working knowledge of MIL-PRF-38534 standard desired
