What is CBSE Problem Solving Assessment (PSA) Test ?
• This test will assess creative thinking, decision making, problem solving and communication skills .
• Also assess student’s ability to process, interpret and use of information rather than assessing student’s prior subject knowledge.
CBSE PSA WILL BE HELD ON
FEBRUARY 16th 2013
•Compulsory for all students of class 9th and 11th.
•The test will be of 90 marks.
•There will be 60 MCQ based
questions.

1.Quantitative Reasoning.2.Qualitative Reasoning.3.Language Conventions.
No specific syllabus
for Problem Solving Assessment Test (PSA)
The CBSE PSA Test design will help in improving the scores of
the core school subjects.
The Problem Solving Assessment Test will also help improving generic and higher
order thinking skills.
Qualitative reasoning will include reasoning seen in the Humanities, Arts and Social
Science subjects.
Quantitative Reasoning will include reasoning of mathematics
and science.
Language conventions will include different aspects of written
communication.(eg,Grammar, vocabulary,RC etc. )
