Video Camera In order to get my actual music video together I have to

use a professional camera the lowest one in its range in

order to get the footage I needed for my music video. I

had to have a fully planned schedule to book the

equipment out for film days.

Animatic

We had to make a storyboard before of all the shots we

were planning to take, although we changed our plans

completely this was a guide to remind us of all shot

range that we need.

Memory cards We had to use the memory cards in order to store the

footage that we filmed. Without the cards we would

have nothing to transfer the footage to the hard drive

with. Therefore we had to heavily rely on the cards and

make sure they were working.

Final Cut pro To do the main part of my work, I used this programme to

produce my media product (the music video). I used various features on it like colour corrector, transiting and adjusting the framing, marking the basetracks for lip sycing. Using colour corrector helped bring a warming effect to the music video to reflect the pace/tempo of the music video. It also helped to evoke emotion from the audience as it was slightly darkened rather than bright.

Flip Camera I used the flip camera to record all the backstage

happenings and also used in the beginning of the

planning of the music video as tester shots of potential

people who would be the artist.

Hard Drive The hard drive was one of the most important equipment

needed as without this we would lose all of our work.

The hard drive was used to store the Music

video, Digipak and Advertise.

MP3 Player We had to use a MP3 player when we was filming as I

have to sing along with the song very loudly so that

when it came to the editing part it was easier to put the

footage and the song in syc. Therefore the mp3 player

became something that we relied on.

iTunes

I used iTunes to download my song for the music video

which is the new and most common way of buying music

rather than getting through piracy because the quality on

iTunes is the studio quality rather than just a copy of it. I

also made reference to iTunes when I was doing my

advertisement.

YouTube

I used youtube to find good examples of music videos of

the same genre of my music video and looked at their

conventions and compared it to mine. This was the main

source for comparing and researching different music

videos.

I used photoshop to create both my digipak and

advertisement. I had to learn the skills to create it from

scratch and after a while I managed to use my initiative

to figure out the rest. I used various effects on the

pictures especially the warming effect because I wanted

the visual link to be clear, so making the pictures have a

warming effect helped to link it to the music video.

iPhone I used my iPhone to take some of the pictures as the

camera for the iPhone 4s has very good quality and

having the best quality for the photos.

Digital camera I used a digital camera to take some of the pictures for

my digipak and advert. If the background was dark the

quality was not that good but when against a white

background it looked really good.

Microsoft word I used Microsoft word to find the right font for the digipak

and for the advert as this was conventional.

Google I used Google to do the research on the different types

of real life media digipaks and adverts and tried to see

all the conventions of a digipak and how they put certain

things in certain places for manipulation.

Blackberry Video Camera I used a blackberry video camera to do all of my

vlogs. The reason why I chose to use this

technology is because it was easy access and I

owned it therefore I could do a vlog whenever I

wanted to. Whereas the flip camera could only be

used on college premises and was not allowed to

be taken home after the filming period.

Google I used Google in this context to do research on the music

industry, theories and other things related to media

Prezi

I used prezi to put all my research on. I used prezi

because it was a more creative version of powerpoint

and you could add video links as well as pictures and

words. I also used the prezi to do my mood board as

well.

Slideshare

I used slideshare to upload all my powerpoints. In most

of them I used it to analyse my media products and to

analyse whilst doing my research.

Go Animate I used Go Animate to review how my progress in

blogging is going. This was very effective because I was

able to ask questions as well as answering them so it

was very clear how I felt about my blog progress.

Kizoa I used kizoa to display pictures of my

digipak, proudction, research, activities, filming and

advertisement.

Pictures & Links (Youtube) I used pictures and links to explain point in depth and in

detail about various theories.

I used photobucket to upload pictures of everything I did.

For example, digipak final, digipak mock

up, advertisement final, advertisement mock up, photos

of my group and I and creative things that I done to show

what my artist will be like if they become famous.
