Assembly Using the EdgeGuard Feature
ToactivateEdgeGuardfeature,slideleverto“On”position,onbacksideofthespreader.
TheEdgeGuardFeatureblocksofftherightsideofthespreaderpatterntopreventproductfromspreadingontonon-lawnareas.TheEdgeGuardpatenteddesignautomaticallyadjuststheflowratetoensureevenapplication.

Quick Start Instructions:
1. Fillhopperwith Scotts®lawnproductofyourchoice
2. Turnorangeratedialtocorrect setting listed in the Spreader Setting sectiononthebackofeachpackageofScottsproductunder.“Scotts®Broadcast/RotarySpreaders”
3. Toapplyproduct,beginwalkingatasteadypace(approx.4ft./sec.), thensqueezeand hold trigger (Seediagramsbelow)
4. Whenfinished, sweepstrayparticles backontolawnarea.Ifproductlandsonanyhardsurfacesuchasadriveway,sidewalk,orroad,sweeptheproductbackontothelawntokeepitfrombeingwashedintothestormsewersandultimatelysurfacewaters.
5. Neverleaveproductinthespreader.Pourleftovermaterialbackintothepackageandsealthepackagetightly
Aftereachuse,washthoroughlyoverthelawntoremoveallmaterial clinging to the spreader.Hotwatermayberequiredattimestoremovestubbornresidue.Allowthespreadertodrythoroughlyinthesun.
Storeyourspreaderinaclean dry place.

For Rectangular Lawns:Applytwoheaderstripsacrosseachendforaturningarea.Thenapplybackandforthinthelongestdirection.
For Irregular-Shaped Lawns:Applyoneheaderstriparoundtheentirelawnforaturningarea,thenapplybackandforth.
Spreader Overlap: Usingwheeltracksasaguide,makeeachpass5feetfromtheprevioustoensureproperoverlapandevenlawncoverage. Do not leave spreader openwhenmakingturns.
