Recommendations from the Front

• The need for trained Citizen Brigades has become vital in view of the lack of sufficient man, machine and air power to adequately fight wildfires in suburban areas of California.

• Private Estate Fire Hydrants with 100 ft. hoses are essential to the Civilian effort.

• Citizen Fire Spotters with walkie-talkies and knowledge of alleys and alternative routes to alert Brigades of changes in advancing fire locations.

• Landscape fire retardant public spaces and increase brush clearing around homes in fire prone areas.
